At This Historic Moment ... A wOw Reader Quote That Says It All

Actually, before I toodle off I will try to express my discouragement and disappointment. I was excited about the sight - told many people about it and posted a few times. When I saw a post by a man, I just skipped it, because I thought this sight was for women. Therefore, I’ve really never read any of Frank’s post - except I seem to remember early on I did read one, and he said he was posting because he hoped to meet women. I realize I could be wrong and that wasn’t Frank, so if not, I apologize. if I’m right, it seems to be working out pretty well for him. there have been many posts praising Frank’s insights, and all round wonderfulness. Ladies, I have had years and years of opponities to avail myself of male insight and wonderfulness. Of women’s? Not so much. so I have very much enjoyed reading the posts by numerous intelligent, kind, funny and all round wonderful women. But I find much of the sight causes more stress than it give enjoyment - so I’m done. I have seen many posts that praise Frank’s

Mugsy - thanks again. You really are wonderfully insightful and eloquent. I am so disappointed and discouraged with Wowowow that I was only checking the sight to see if you posted, then I plan to give up.

i was just imagining what would happen if there were a website designed for men of a certain age, and a woman posted several times - I think it would be brutal.

And then he gets all gushed over - thanks Mugsy, I knew you could say it better than I. I feel really sad, think I’m going to throw in the wowowow towel; am thinking the founders don’t get it either.

Hillary Clinton Exhausted and in Mourning

If you continue to respond to Markie’s blather, he will continue to blather. I automatically skip to the next comment when I see his pic. “Build it and they will come”; maybe “Ignore it and it will go away” would work.

Mugsy - where are you? come on - I know you are biting your tongue.

What television show do you miss the most?

I’m late to this question, but what a fun trip down memory lane - reminded me of many shows that I miss: I don’t think anyone mentioned Sports Night - thought it was excellent Taxi - just thinking of Jim (not sure of the name) taking his driver’s license test makes me laugh out loud PBS - Upstairs downstairs, All creatures And many of the ones already mentioned - made me think of a question: Who was your favorite character on Northern Exposure - wow, so many to choose from. Remeber the gay marine saying to Maurice: “Sempre Fi”

No Exit: Trapped in an Elevator

Joan, I started hyperventilting just reading this - it was all I could do not to fast-forward to the end to make sure you got out! Are you taking the stairs now?

wOw's Views on the News: Can Clinton, Obama or McCain Get Us Out of This $9.1 Trillion Hole?

I’ve decided I’m not going to vote for anyone, because if you want to be the President of this mess, you have to be completely insane!

The Subway: A Peaceful and Pristine Oasis?

Just back from my first trip ever to DC, went w/my dtr (who was attending a conference) and 22 yr-old grandson, who had never been to DC either. Loved DC! Loved the metro (although the escalators are a challenge for someone with acriphobia AND claustriphobia). Grandson cracked the Metro code right away, we had a blast. We were those talkative tourists. Traveled at off-peak times, not very crowded. On one of the trips we were jointly working on a crossword puzzle, and a lovely young woman, clearly a native, joined in and solved one of the clues! I also had a fun conversation with a striking young DC police officer - very friendly. In fact, we didn’t have one negative experience the entire time we were there.

'wOw Friend' Jane Juska: Summer Is Icumen In

Thanks, Jane. This is excellent - printing a copy for my 88 yr-old mother.

'We Used to Never Acknowledge Them, Today They're Our Badges of Success'

I was incredulous, maybe horrified is the word, reading this - how out of touch can you (founding women) be? I have a person who cuts my hair on a regualr basis - sometimes I get a manicure, and, let’s see………….nope, that’s it. And I’ve never been to dinner with them, nor they me. Never even seen them in a restaurant, but then I eat out so rarely.

Comment Watch, 'Change the World' Growth and wOw on Charlie Rose

there is a glitch on the site - no message after I hit submit, usually there is an indication that the post is being sent. sorry about the repeat.

Comment Watch, 'Change the World' Growth and wOw on Charlie Rose

I need to add that I did see the Charlie Rose show, which was great - but was distressed to here that part of the reason for starting the sight was to “make money”. I am so not internet savvy that that had never occurred to me. DUH! I guess I assumed the “founding women” already had gobs of money. Duh again.
