I liked PHILLY with Kim Delaney.  Of course they didn’t know what to do with a strong woman, so they sexed her up, weakened her, then canceled it.

I’ve been drawn into CASTLE lately due to the strong female lead.  But they are already diminishing the power of the female character.  Who wants to bet it’s 90% males on the writing staff?  Get ready for it - they’ll sex her up, weaken her character and then cancel it when ratings drop.

I know absolutely nothing about this story.  But it’s creepy that O’Reilly’s foot soldier, Watters, stalked a female reporter and ambushed her while on vacation in a small town.  Very creepy given the whole female rape victim issue at play here in the story.

While we are on this healthcare issue.  Why hasn’t Obama’s PLAN been put into the pipeline yet?  It’s the end of March.  He went on and on about having a plan during the election.  Meanwhile there are millions of Americans… MILLIONS… without any healthcare plan at all.  Some because they can’t afford it, but an alarming number who can afford it who have been denied coverage.  I saw a woman on TV admit she had been denied coverage due to a prior yeast infection.  Why hasn’t this president instituted regulations on providers - disallowing them from denying applicants or excluding preexisting conditions - if they want to continue doing business?  What about Obama’s campaign promise to open up the Congressional health plan immediately?  Why haven’t these interim steps been taken as they pound out the transition towards universal healthcare.  Too busy galavanting across the country, holding town hall meetings and making appearances on Leno?

when I was in my early thirties, a very close friend, who had arrived at forty, suddenly sold her house, all of her possessions, and took off on what ended up as a two year wandering around the globe.  her letters back were a gourmet meal of adventures. remote locales, huts on beaches in no man’s land, crewing boats, experiencing cultures at ground level.  

with the economy in shambles, and the sweeping emotional malaise and lack of hope that has taken the country, she comes to mind these days
