Clare, I think we need to come to a truce. This site has been too good and uplifting for all of us to have any dissension among the ranks. Can we acknowledge that Religion is one of the great dividers in this world, that its tenants are based on faith and therefore impossible to prove. You may deny that and say that it is "THE TRUTH", but it is really only your truth, not mine. When you make the statement "Only thing is there IS no challenge.  I KNOW the truth" - don’t you see how judgmental and divisive that is ? You don’t KNOW that, you just believe that, big difference. 

You say you are not fearful ? When you talk about abomination, sin, enemies of the soul, war and judgement, that sounds pretty fearful to me. 

But I guess what bothers me the most, even angers me, considering the reason we are all here, is your statement about Adam " I also believe that the enemy of our souls got involved and took what was a good creation (Adam) and distorted it for his own means. We all have things in our lives that probably shouldn’t be."   If I were a 12 year old bully on the playground I would stamp my feet, pick up a handful of dirt and say " Take that back !!!". Your God didn’t just make Adam and give him talents, he made him WHO HE IS, A HOMOSEXUAL ! The devil, or enemy of the soul, or whatever you call it did not do it, and that kind of thinking is what is causing all the hatred and prejudice and pain.

I am just happy that finally the majority of the world, at least where I live, and especially the younger generation, is coming around to see that they are who they are and deserving of acceptance and respect. That our golden boy can be the man he is, a wonderful man, who just happens to be gay. That he may not have to suffer the prejudice and scorn so many talented people before him had to put up with. Don’t tell me he is distorted in any way. He is perfect in every way and that is THE TRUTH !

Lastly, no one is asking you to defend your faith to the death, we’re not trying take it away from you. Just don’t try to force your belief on me. One of the magnificent things about this country is that we are all entitled to believe whatever looney things we want … Scientology, Mormonism, Wiccan, UFOs, the 2012 Destruction, Armageddon, Atheism, Evangelicalism, heck, even that Obama was born in Kenya … It is the basis of our freedom.

In fact, I have to leave because I am going over to the Mormon Church right now to do some genealogy research on my grandfather because we are going to Ireland in 2 weeks and I would like to find his home. And the reason the Mormons have all these records is so that they can convert all these past generation so they can be saved.  Totally crazy in my book, but I’m glad they are doing it.

BD, His mother is Jewish, from New Jersey. Don’t know too much about his father, but way back I heard that he was never Bar Mitzva’d and not raised Jewish. You’re right about the tattoos, although I have seen some young Jewish guys with tattoos,not many though.

 My husband’s grandfather, an English gentleman, had a dagger & serpent on his forearm. Might have looked good when he was young and firm, but when he was 86 that serpent was sliding off the blade, which wasn’t too sharp anymore.

 Several people have commented that Megan Joy should go into modeling … not with that sleeve tattoo !  Although I must say, at the show she has rhinestones on her arm that catch the light and it is very interesting, but I don’t want to see Adam start down that road !

Well, here’s a clue. Drake is from New Orleans - which is predominately Catholic. 

LeBry is a French, or maybe Creole - again Catholic 

He is obviously, openly almost flamboyantly gay - don’t see him being a devout Catholic, although New Orleans is VERY accepting of its Gay community.

My Guess, for what it’s worth, is that he is referring to Adam ….. lucky him ☺

We’ve never talked about this before … or at least I don’t remember. Is the Eye of Horus his only tattoo ? And how do we feel about him getting more, like Drake ?  He has the money now to satisfy most every whim, do we think he will go that route. I am a bit ambivalent … I don’t mind some of them, but others are just ugly. There is an article in this months GQ magazine titled " Be the first one on your block NOT to have a tattoo "

 I went to a Sox game at Fenway Park on Sunday and sitting in front of us was a girl with the Batman bat in the middle of her back, we all, 2 sons & hubby, thought it was heinous.

Zena, beautifully said. I’ve been a believer in the "examined" life since I was a teenager in the 60s, I sometimes think too much, don’t take anything at face value, need to know the whys & hows of everything, and it is so thrilling, so amazingly thrilling to find kindred spirits here.

I am trying to decide, IF and WHEN I share all of you with my husband … typical man, no interest in deep conversation, but yet, his Irish-ness makes him very emotional - he cried all weekend during the coverage of the Kennedy funeral. I come so close to mentioning all of you, but I stop, not ready yet to share you, selfishly keeping you to myself …. or do I not want to open myself to the chance of ridicule " You all talk about Adam Lambert ?" —— eyes rolling .

However I am beginning to reach out to me friends again … we all still need the face to face one on one !
