Candice Bergen: What Murphy Brown Would Have Said About Sarah Palin

Murphy had both class and brains; and would have stayed above the fray. I’d like to think she would have told Ms Palin, “Enjoy your trip back to Alaska!”, turned around while rolling her eyes in disbelief, and walked away. Perhaps we could have heard her muttering, “Too easy; too easy; too easy” on her way off stage.

Barack Hussein Obama Wins Historic Election; Will Become 44th President of The United States of America

Thanks to all you wonderful women (of all political persuasions) who went thru this unique campaign with me. I just spent the last month in TX Dubya Kuntry with no cell or regular e-mail connection. I just got back to MN, only to discover we still don’t have a Senator yet. And the beat goes on … Was at an election night party with 75% of the liberals in the aforementioned TX county. All three of us danced, shouted, cried and screamed like crazy. Twas wonderful.

Sex and the 60+ Woman, by Willa Bernhard, Ph.D.

Just after yet another way-post-60 birthday, all I can say is that I certainly hope it is like riding a bike.

BTW, People: I was just watching an analysis of the debate. Did John McCain say that he would add 300,000,000,000 to the just authorized 700,000,000,000?? Was I in a coma?

Maizie - google Rolling Stone and click into their upcoming cover article on McCain (Maverick) . It’s a fascinating chronology. A long, but fascinating read.

I’m not content with McCain reasuring me that he know how to do everything. But fuzzy math and fuzzier details hint at just More of the same old same old. And obviously, that would be a disaster. It seems like the only industries that are thriving right now are the oil companies and the military peripherals. If this doesn’t change, the environment is toast and we will be burying our children and grandchildren by the millions. Those industries are what McCain knows and that what he is determined (and indebted) to continue supporting. Voting for Obama is taking a leap of faith, surely. But if his vision can succeed or even coexist with the reality we’re facing, this nation will be able to right itself economically, and stop apologizing to the rest of the world. This debate didn’t make me change my mind at all.

I can hardly wait to see the fact checking on this thing. Who actually answered more questions that were actually asked? Oh, not with the “my friends”thing again. I have a lot of friends, Senator McCain, and you, definitely, are not my friend.

Who’s winning? John is a lot more confused, uttering sentence fragments and changing directions constantly. Many sentences to nowhere. Barack hasn’t given us anything we haven’t heard before. More eloquent and focused, but no more substance. Frustrating. I agree with him, “there’s something fundamentally wrong” … with this debate set-up. Are we playing Palin rules?

I was wondering if I heard that right. Was the benefit to terrorists in Title III or Title VI? I missed that one.

And McCain is still trying to put a postiive spin on his white rabbit sprint to Washington?????? Old, debunked news, thank you.

Welcome to our zoo, Cynthia. I’m looking forward to your interaction tonight. It seems as though emotions have heightened after the last couple of days of Sarah Palin’s rabble rousing. Not only is she off limits to any press people, but so is everyone in her audience. Mob rule. Slander and lies. As far as this evening’s debate is concerned, I hope all of us here don’t emulate Sarah. Stop to blink. And think. And, in just under an hour, when the two candidates that most certainly hold our future in their hands begin to answer questions… MAY THE POSTS BEGIN!
