Who won last night's debate in Philadelphia?

Debate? What debate? There was no debate last night. The meaning of debate was never touched in that smear campaign. While Hillary smiled into the camera, she slipped the knife into Obama’s side very carefully, very thoughfully, very sinfully. I would not want her bad karma when I meet my maker. Obama has lots to learn. Hillary has already learned it all. Sadly she only learned the worst, and none of the best. She has no ethics. I can’t possibly vote for her. Women like her make me ashamed to be called a woman. In other words she behaved exactly like a rich white man running for office. God help us. We’re getting nowhere fast, just as the rich white man owned media had planned. They put Bush into office twice, and now they’re going to finish off the Dems, attack by attack, until they make McCain look like some kind of saint. Then they’ll move in for the kill. It will take a miracle to get Obama elected now. AND I am a middleclass WHITE businesswoman. Yes, I know what you were thinking. Not true. I just happen to like ethical people.

What Happens to Us After We Die?

Oh sister, we do go on. Don’t we? Heaven, hell, life after death, here and now is what matters. Whether you believe or not, does it really matter right now, at this moment, in this second of your life? What I think is important is living an ethical, moral life with value in every day decisions. We all make them, and we all have to face our habits in one way or another. My choice is to believe very intensely in the hereafter, but I don’t wait around for it to happen. I’m busy trying to live my every moment the best I possibly can. Today will I make good decisions or bad? This morning will I eat the healthy breakfast, the one that is good for my body or will I choose to start off the day being not so smart? It’s all karma, the law of cause and effect cannot be pushed away. Do the right thing, make the right choices, you get the best results—someday. Be kind, be helpful, be thoughtful, be strong, be bold, be mindful and be loving to those who would not otherwise know love. My children—I love you more than words can say. And I know in my heart and soul that my creator loves us all equally and without question. Be the best you can be. That’s all the creator asks. Just think of it, would a mother toss her child into a pit to burn eternally or would a mother race to the child, lovingly rescue it from the pit, and show it the light of love and caring help? That is what I believe the creator is all about. The hell fire and brimstone is just metaphor, and the blind still lead the blind. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

'Ann Richards Is With Us in Spirit; She Can Never Die'

Ann was one of my role models. She still is. The icing on Ann’s life is that she still has impact, and it’s all good. She affected women of all backgrounds from the poorest to the wealthiest, and from the most undereducated to the best educated in the world. Ann had impact. She dressed, spoke and lead like a true woman. She makes me proud to be a woman. I hate that she had to go through so much at the hands of this president, and out of respect for her, I won’t even type his name. She struggled with so much, and a good deal was not even necessary. What a strong woman-Ann Richards. God keep you ever lifted up and in the “Light” of joy and peace. I miss you.

What signs, if any, of recession have you noticed?

It simply asounds me that some people are still asking the question, “Do you think we’re really in Recession?”. When something is soooo completely obvious, why would we ask if it is there, right in front of us? Like you, I see the signs in every moment of my life. Front and center is the fact that I can no longer keep my home without the full support of my 23 year old son living with me, sharing expenses. How grateful am I? Hugely grateful! Piece by piece, bit by bit, the country has been taken over by the “bank”. I knew it was coming when I was in my 20’s and saw how powerful the insurance companies were becoming. Wise as they are, big business has easily grasp our throats and is choking us to death with 25MM dollar CEO’s and boards of directors who want to make as much as they can, and now! Americans have sat idly by, not really catching on to the sneeky little b……. until their wallets starting taking a super hit. Now it hurts. Write to your Congress and Reps, and get busy taking back control of our country. We should be the ones in charge here. Not the rich white men. And yes, I am a white woman. Even I know a scam when I see one.

"Perfect Performances" Will Go Oscarless

Sadly it’s all about the marketing. Hardly heard of this film, but for the fact that I seek out the films that come to the “art” theatres, and read all I can about them. This one is supposed to be truly wonderful. Seems it’s the best films that can’t get the mega marketing money behind them. Just imagine the few that went almost unheard of like Mostly Martha and Monsieur Ibrahim. These films were hardly noted by the advertisers, but are excellent and joyful experiences-of their own kind, of course.
