Are you a little miffed that the Obama family isn't getting a kitty-cat?

Cats, dogs, ponies, hampsters, whatever they choose to live with is great with me. I am sure they are getting plenty of advise. May their house be as joyful as mine, having animals to share it with.

What's the one thing you plan to give up to save money? What's the one thing you won't give up?

It seems that an overall slow down in spending has hit my home. Spouse retirement combined with the economy problems all developed at the same time. When it comes to equipment for my business, I buy used rather than new. The one thing that has not changed is the care my animals get. I understand many stories of shelters getting many more pets as people are giving up animals. I would give up so very much before they would have any cutbacks. Ask me this question in a couple of months when my first grandson is born. It is very difficult to not give babies things they really do not need!

What are you doing this morning?

First result of the evening was a disappointing result on a very local level. A very small margin but still a difficult defeat. Then I came home to great joy in our country. I feel like I just got off a roller coaster and I ended on the high side of the ride. Our new president elect delivered another very inspirational speech. Even Sen. McCain came across with a wonderful address to the nation. I am so proud of our country right now. So hopefully this great high will continue and we unite to get down to work and fix some of our ills. God bless our country and the new leader, President Elect Obama!

Barack Hussein Obama Wins Historic Election; Will Become 44th President of The United States of America

God bless America and may we now unite and get down to the work of change.

Where do you plan to watch the returns of the Presidential Election?

I am sure Anne, that you will have lots of information to report. Hope you have a great time at the celebration!

Is it taboo to ask strangers who they are voting for?

As much as I sometimes want to know, I feel it is inappropriate to ask. There are tactful questions that can be asked that give one an indication as to how they are leaning. I have learned with this election, that sometimes it is better not to know how a friend is voting. It can put a strain on that friendship!

What is your favorite luxury?

That pool sounds like heaven but the best is the massages!

What traditional technology do you still use?

I had to pick the fax machine since people request something sent to them. I no long have a dedicated line for it and it is a pain to haul it around and set it up in order to send them their communication. But, anything to please the client, right?

What makes you happy?

Friends, family and my animals are the mainstay of my happiness. A walk in the forest preserve with any of the above mentioned is joyful.

Have you ever played an office prank on a coworker?

Birthdays celebrations have been the basis of some pranks. The most fun for me was when I found an outhouse to place on the lawn of a friend that was turning thirty. A sign that announced the age and name of the person adorned the tile lined outdoor facility. Flags in the the neighborhood directed them to view the addition to the front yard. Of course my front yard received decorations the next month when my birthday came around!

If you could give away one million dollars, what or who would you give it to?

With giving away this million dollars I would have created a new job for myself. I would administrate the money to animal groups that really help animals and do not pay themselves. My volunteer job would be to investigate those places to make sure the money really does go to help. With our tough economic times, many animals are suffering. Of course Jenny would get a safe place to live!

What do you think of healthcare coverage in the United States?

I have some mixed feelings about this question. Having lived in England for several years, I have seen how other countries handle health care. We are far behind in providing our citizens with good cost effective health care. My concerns are for the administrating of the care. Our insurance companies are leading the industry and that is not in our best interest. I am aware of a wealthy person who is cheating the system and others who need help cannot get it. No on who has a $600 catered dinner and thousand of dollars in credit card bills each month, should not have the state cover her health care just because she chose not to pay premiums. With all the computer software these days you would think they could check out minor things like that!!! No one should have to give up their life savings in order to pay for health care. My spouse just had a blood test and the bill was $780! For a blood test!!! Like the oil companies, I feel we are being held hostages in health care.

Jennifer, I totally agree. Not a role model for sure.
