AT last!!! Something we all agree on!! What a mess!! When you combine GREED and lack of ethics, this is what you get. I hope this message is not ignored.

All the ladies looked lovely. These award shows are getting to be such a boring thing we have to depend on the women dressing very glamorous so there is something of interest to see. I can’t even make it all the way through the Oscars any more.

Well, as they say, “When uncertain or in doubt, Run in circles, scream and shout” I see character assignation is alive and well here on this thread. You go ladies! Why don’t you tell us how you REALLY feel.

Killing Mickey Mouse..well, not a cartoon. But the cleric said “it is permissable to kill anyone who watches Micky Mouse” or other disapproved programs. That means, its okey to kill anyone who disagrees with what we say. That means you unless you have converted to being Muslim. Most Americans are “infidels” and there for okey to kill. Is this prejudice? I think not. Its just acknowledging a statement of fact that Muslims are taught to believe and to carry out. They have been very public in making these statements to the press, to any group that will listen to them and in their sermons to Muslims. Its not some attitude that was just made up by people who oppose fanatic Muslims.

Apparently these folks who would “kill” Mickey Mouse will kill you just as quickly and without mercy. They will kill anyone who disagrees with them. They openly preach this philosophy so we had better take them seriously.

Oops, left out a very important “s”. Speaking of Mrs. Palin. She floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee” A quote from Willie Brown in an article in the San Francisco Chronicle last week. Willie Brown was Democratic Speaker of the House in the California Legislature for years and has also been Mayor or San Francisco, a city that is about as liberal as it gets short of Europe.

Am I mistaken? Isn’t it the members of Congress who ask for earmarks, not the governor of a state.? So your Congressman or Senator can include earmarks if they choose to do so, on bills which have no relevence to the subject of earmark. There are millions of dollars attached to bills which primarily benefit the Congressmen or women in some way back in their own state. If ones Congressmen send earmarks whether a Governor asked for them or not, how many Governors send them back? I’d like to know how many Democrat Governors have refused to accept the earmarks sent to their state..how many and for how much? If we are going to hold Governor Palin accountable in this way, lets be fair, and hold them ALL accountable. It has been my observation that depending on who is doing the talking the same behaviors are seen differently, as described below. If Mr. Obama hesitates when answering a question, it is because he “is being thoughtful and considering the answer and all its ramifications”. He was a college Professor and thinks things through. If Mr. McCain or Mrs. Palin hesitates when answering a question it is because he is senile..or because she doesn’t know anything about the subject. Same situation, same behavior but different interpretations or spins. I hardly think Mr. McCain needs women to fight his battles. He is the ONLY candidate for President or Vice President who has actually fought in a real war where enemies are shooting guns or missles at you. He has the only experience in that category and he acquitted himself honorably. People are showing up to hear Sarah Palin because they like her. It looks like they may like her well enough to vote for her come November. As a very well known Democrat out here on the West Coast said about Mr. Palin, “she floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee”

Thank you Kitty OKeefe…I appreciate your information. I stilll have many unanswered questions. Im talking to people who are down there “in the trenches on the front line of medical care” so just how these plans will work as more than just a nice idea is of considerable interest. I hope some of the fraud and corruption that the McCain camp is talking about clearing out of government includes the huge amount of fraud and wasteful spending in the current Medicare and Mediaid programs. I would like to know a lot more about this issue as I think it is THE most expensive one on the agenda .

An interesting article I read just today about the current status of Health Care in the US. In 1960 $1 of every $20 in the national budget went to health care. In 2007 is has increased to $1 in every $6..By 2025 it is projected to be $1 in every $4..and that is the projected cost of Obama AND McCains plans. Imagine 1/4th of the entire National budget being spent on Health Care and no assurance of the quality of that care. This is at the expense of all other government programs. If someone would explain to me the financial details of Obama’s Health Care plan and program, I would be very interested to know what that is. How does he intend to pay for another 45 million people covered? and how much will it cost and what will be the quality of that care. Is there a provision for the added number of doctors, nurses and medical facilities to accomodate that much more demand? A family member who is a Nurse works in an Emergency room at a big hospital. They are overwhelmed every single day now with more and more people coming into the ER for medical care. Not emergency situations but routine things like stomach aches, headaches, etc. The hospital has no empty beds available and there is the possibility that they will close down their ER since they have no place to put real emergencies that come in. This is a huge hospital but they, and the other hospitals in the area seem to be overwhelmed. This whole issue is enormously complex. I would like to hear some real accurate information about what will be done under that Health Care plan that covers every person in the US. Will we train more doctors and nurses? Who will pay for that and how much? Lets talk issues here…I see Ted Kennedy said medical care should be a “right”…Is that part of Obama’s plan?

How insulting you ladies are. You know very well that Republicans are not to the right of Franco, Mussolini and yes, that German guy who was in fact Austrian. There is nothing at all even close to Nazi and Hitler in the Republican party and its insulting of you to make such claims. Exaggerated statements like that do not serve your cause well. Such nastiness says a lot more about you than it does about Sarah who has not put the bad mouth on Democratic women. What we say and how we say it creates an image of what we are.

Cheer up folks. Help is on the way. America is still great and our people are very resiliant and creative. We are NOT doomed!!! There are wonderful opportunities and interesting things to think about and do.. There are so many fascinating things happening and its all going in a positive direction, so jump on the bandwagon and be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

I’ve been married 45 years to a man 3 years younger than me. He is my best friend, my beloved, and a great father to our sons and a wonderful grandfather to our only grandchild, a boy 11. If you can find a really good man, no matter how much younger than you he might be, go for it!! We hope we make it to our Golden Wedding anniversary..we are both still going strong, so, so far, so good.
