A Blueprint and Outline for Changing the World

Suzanne, population is a big issue. You seldom see large families anymore, but it is still an issue. My birth family had 8, the family that adopted me had 6 - I made 7, I have two children and have had foster children. Most of my neighbors only have one child - maybe 2. Economics and women wanting to work outside of the home has changed much of that. There are many religions that encourage large families, Catholicism, Mormonism, Muslims, Fundamentalists and I am not sure about Hindus. Bush is going to be gone soon, but I don’t think that whoever is the next President, can change those religions. So what would be a good way to tackle this?

Feet of Clay in a Roman à Clef?!

My sister, a native Californian is kind of a spare wife, but not to the extent that Liz explains. She just helps out a lot and is very trustworthy and can ‘hang out’ in a relaxed way. They love her and always include her in their family.

What do men not know about women?

Gosh I always wonder why men venture here. Either brave or crazy. Whatever. Anyway Samuel, my husband does snore. He is a beautiful man, but he snores - and loud. He tries to be sensitive about it, but he can’t help it. Ooooops I digress. That her wants are less complicated than he thinks. That what she says she wants for her birthday or holidays is what she really wants and he doesn’t have to go crazy trying to second guess. That if he really wants sex that night, start being nice in the morning. Be appreciative with a little sweet talk, and remind her why you fell in love with her. It goes a long way. It is the beginning of foreplay. That most women don’t manipulate, they just want to find a solution to a household and child rearing problem. When they get out of the shower, pull the towel off and kind of ‘wag’ it isn’t necessarily that appealing to a woman, a cat maybe, but not always a woman. Hands eyes and beautiful arms get me (although I used to run behind guys in my workouts to get a great view)

A Blueprint and Outline for Changing the World

Thank you thank you thank you. This page looks great. It will only grow and grow. In the All Things Green section how about an update on the science of bioregeneration. There are many companies that research how the earth regenerates itself. Take for instance several years back when the EPA was cleaning up some old nuclear dump sites they made an amazing discovery. The Haz Mat team got all suited up took every precaution in the world to enter a long abandoned site: upon entering and inspecting they noticed a fungus growing all over the containers, but could not detect any leakage of nuclear waste, in fact all the waste had been ‘eaten’ by the fungus. The next amazing discovery was that the fungus released clean oxygen. I have read two articles on it in the past 10 years (maybe) in Science News. It is a little weekly publication with laymen articles on what is going on in science at the time. Things that are being studied and published. There is only one drawback. It only works on nuclear. When it is introduced into dumpsites with a lot of other toxins mixed in - the other toxins kill it off. Nevertheless, once better developed it can clean up a lot of nuclear waste. Another fascinating discovery is the white fungus that you find under the bark of dying wood. It is kind of white thin webby looking stuff, anyway, that fungus eats polymer (plastic). They are trying to develop it to clean up landfills. This is slow going and not much money invested in it. (My boys love science so it is a big topic in our house.) Anyway, I want good news too. There is a lot of it out there. I have a friend who is a scientist working for JPL and he is on the Global warming study ( I am not sure if his grant is up yet), but his wife has been a great source of info -at least when they are not off on one of his measuring trips. Fifteen years ago a few of us started recycling programs at some of the elementary schools. Mostly clubs the kids could participate in recycling the PAPER that schools generate. Also teach how to save energy, water, keep environment clean. Haven’t kept up with that since my guys are older, but maybe there are some small things on the community level like that we could highlight.

Lily of the Valley, Live between two deserts that have windmills. The windmills are huge and do not always move slowly - the birds get sucked into wind pattern and the blades of the windmill bat them into oblivion. I have also noticed in the desert (Pear Blossom Highway) single homes that have windmills. They are smaller and I assume effective. I have heard that these people, when creating an excess of electricity can sell it back to the power company. There are a few companies around here that sell those to people with enough area to house one. They are not as threatening to the birds.

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

Sometimes feels like too many, and other times it feels like not enough.

Jeanette, hang around and it won’t take long for you to find out what pisses people off and makes them miserable. All these things come up somewhere.

Suzanne, Feel the same way, so there is no way to change it. Small print is sometimes not on scrolled section. I didn’t realize my name would pop up, thought there would be a username coming up. Didn’t get it.

Who won last night's debate in Philadelphia?

Elyse, interesting comment. My vote is still up in the air. What has Obama accomplished that brings you to that conclusion?

Who won last night's debate in Philadelphia?

Phyllis - I read extensively, who do you read that influences you?

I don’t want Bill again. How is that going to work in the White House with the Vice President? How much will Bill really step back. He can’t, he is like the old horse in the firehouse, every time he hears the bell he will start champing his feet and want to exert his influence. The media will always be focused on that. It is unfortunate for her, because if anyone could do it she probably could. I do believe they lie a lot. And they dissemble the truth. That is another reason.

'wOw Friend' Caterine Milinaire Asks What's in the Name?

Suzanne - geez - sorry you are feeling so bad. Hope the pain goes away. Yeah but isn’t the PC testing the waters to see how much others will accept what you say? Which of course is PC on overload. Say what you want to say - you are well informed - it’s good.

Hey Ole Crone, No, am not fried from busy day or ‘lifings’ challenges. Nor do I get embarrassed by what anyone else says, that is their business, and they have a right to say whatever they want. What do I care. I don’t read all the posts - if they don’t interest me, I don’t read them. Suzanne has a great point, and she has stated it a couple of times so it is obviously important to her. That’s cool. She can press it as many times as she wants. Why not? It doesn’t take anything away from me, nor do my posts take anything away from her. You say some women want to whine, experience has taught me that whining is a waste of my time. If other women want to do it. I don’t care. If you need to do it, go for it. What business is it of mine. It isn’t even my business what you think of me. Life is too short and as I have gotten older seems to go by much faster. When you say ‘ring’ do you mean like - get in and do verbal boxing? Will that really change the world? I suspect you mean something else. What is it?

Suzanne, I also work in a male dominated business. We build things, and all of our employees are men. We have had women but they eventually start their own businesses. I have to fight at some outlets to get my turn to buy molding or doors or whatever, they just think I’m a housewife looking around. But once I establish the altitude - they know I am there for business. I have sons and no daughters, so I am constantly infused with mantribe. Yikes!!! I just think my expectations for the site were different. I just figured, open myself up and see where it takes me. I don’t go to all of the questions, because they don’t all interest me. I think the point is, that as women, we make the site. Look how much our posts got responded to. So it evolves itself and we are all doing that. Sorry about the turn of events with your lawsuit. Just keep your head up high. You are worth it. When I was in corporate America, I exposed some dirty dealings and at first they are glad, but then they all get nervous, circle the wagons, and then put it back on you. That was in the late 70’s, but fortunately my father gave me a lot of great advice on how to deal with the situation, because he understood male corporate mentality. Anyway, good luck, but start a website. Maybe start working on a business plan for one. I hear your anger, but I also hear your strengh.
