What is your best beauty tip?

I haven’t tried this myself yet, but I heard through the grapevine that men can’t resist a women wearing the scent of a Planters cashew. : )

What is your best beauty tip?

* Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Use a daily UV moisturizer, it helps! * Think positive. The power of positive thinking on one’s physical, mental, and spiritual health is immeasurable. * Wear clothes that put that extra little strut in your step.

Liz Peek: We're All on a Tight Budget, Even Obama

Perhaps the state of the economy will allow us the opportunity to revise and renew our collective definition of “good times”. It would be a shame if all we desire or accomplish is a slow slog back to what was.

Barack Hussein Obama Wins Historic Election; Will Become 44th President of The United States of America

As much excitement as there is in America to the results of this election, it’s wonderful to witness a similar excitement around the world. How refreshing it is to see people of other nations joyously waving American flags rather than burning them.

Post-Election Postmortem: Did the Election Help or Hurt Women in Politics?

Hillary Clinton helped herself and women immensely. Yes, she lost the election. However, her cross-country mission to unite the party and promote an Obama presidency, along with helping downticket candidates cannot be overlooked. The success of the Democratic party is her success as well. Her approval ratings show this, as they are now higher than when she entered the presidential campaign. Hillary will have even greater influence going into the 111th Congress, and she remains a role model for millions. I find it difficult to argue how Sarah Palin helped herself or women in general. Yes, she is a star. And I suppose she does have charisma and a certain sexuality, but so does Paris Hilton. While I think it’s unfair to compare Palin to Clinton when it comes to understanding the issues, it is rather disappointing how little depth of knowledge Palin displayed and how comfortable she is with that lack of knowledge. Perhaps there are those who see Palin as a role model too, but I question what they base that on.

Monica Crowley: There's a Fine Line Between 'Maverick' and 'Ass'

Ms Crowley, The abuses of power by the Republican Party in the past eight years are many. Far too many to list here. However, it should be noted that party loyalists such as yourself share some responsibility in failing to hold your party leaders accountable. In putting the interests of your party ahead of the country, you casually explained away the unexplainable and defended the indefensible. You must now face the reality that the country is in this current predicament largely because you and others like you nodded your approval to the outrageous policies and closed your eyes to the corruption. But now you’re angry. Well get in line.

Sarah Palin's Saturday Night Live Appearance (Video)

There is nothing that anyone could say here that would be more damaging to Palin than what has already been said by countless republicans.

Sarah Palin's Saturday Night Live Appearance (Video)

Has anyone noticed that no one in the media is talking about that adorable Sarah Palin and her spot on SNL? It has been buried by the Powell endorsement. That’s showbiz!

If you could give away one million dollars, what or who would you give it to?

I would give one-third of the million to http://www.donorschoose.org/ where donors have the opportunity to help fund specific projects and needs requested by public school teachers across the country. One-third would be given to http://www.kiva.org/ where individuals can lend funds to an entrepreneur in the developing world, empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty. And when the loan is repaid, you can re-lend to others in need. And one-third would be given to http://www.stjude.org/ where donors can fund cancer research and treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, making a real-time impact on the lives of the patients and their families. Fortunately, we don’t need a million dollars to make a powerful impact in the lives of others. Even the most modest donation can make you feel like a million bucks.

wowOwow Economic Crisis Reader Forum

The economic crisis somewhat reminds me of the drug epidemic of years past. Years ago our leadership considered the drug problem primarily a problem of poor and minority communities. It wasn’t until the drug problem was shown to be increasing in wealthy neighborhoods that it was suddenly deemed an epidemic. For many of us, the economic crisis is nothing new. We have been on the short end of voodoo economics and we have been patiently waiting for the trickle down to reach us as those on the top have enjoyed their lifestyles of the rich and famous. In recent years the income disparity between rich and poor has grown historically larger, becoming a threat to our democracy as we know it. And as some have attempted to point out the importance of economic and social equality, the response has been that our rhetoric is Socialist, that the fundamentals of our economy are strong and that the free market is the answer to all that ails us. And yet, now as the world markets and Wall Street take a tumble, the false prophets of false profits want us all to dig deep in our pockets to save us from this economic crisis.

Who won round 2 of the presidential debates last night?

If I were married to McCain, an unlikely scenario, we would probably have fought in the car on the way home tonight, because no question I tried to tell him a million times not to try to be funny, it wasn’t anything he was good at. And if I were married to Obama, another unlikely scenario but a far more attractive one, I would be driving home having a hard time not thinking about the curtains. Nora Ephron

Vice Presidential Debate Reader Forum

No, it is a fact. McCain is an awful candidate with an awful agenda. McCain won the republican nomination not by offering a grand vision for the future or by providing viable solutions to the many challenges facing this country, rather he won the nomination by default due to a historically weak republican field. McCain has fought regulation throughout his political career, positions he bragged about in the republican primary. And yet, instead of defending those positions in the general election, he has chosen to paint himself as a populist. That’s disingenuous and dishonest. He has voted with the Bush administration more than 90 percent of the time, yet he refuses to accept responsibility for anything. McCain has voted against equal pay for women 18 times. McCain voted against the Biden legislation requiring free rape exams. McCain voted against the Martin Luther King Jr holiday. McCain voted against the ban on waterboarding. He fought against the G.I. Bill, then took credit when it passed. McCain stood alongside of Bush and fought for the privatization of Social Security. Considering the current state of our economy and the fiasco on Wall Street, imagine where this country would be today if Bush and McCain had gotten their way. Lets face it, beyond the POW experience, there’s nothing particularly compelling in John McCain’s biography. The most newsworthy event in McCain’s twenty-five plus years of political life is his involvement in the Keating Five scandal. We are often told that he’s a maverick, but strangely there’s nothing to actually support that myth. McCain has never provided great leadership. He’s never inspired the public to get involved. There’s no eloquent speech that McCain has given on some grand issue. There’s no moment in his political history where he went out on a limb to help the little guy, or some wise piece of legislation with his name on it that we all give great thanks for. How do we know these things? Because if there was a whiff of these things in McCain’s past, the media would be telling us about them ad nauseam, and McCain would certainly have them in his ads. McCain is an awful candidate with an awful agenda. And that’s a fact!

Hasselbeck 'Really Upset' With 'The View'

Elisabeth has gone from Bush apologist to McCain/Palin cheerleader without missing a step, never once taking pause to accept responsibility or admit that she has been consistently wrong about everything.

Washington-Wall Street Crisis: The Wow Reader Forum

Republicans understand that words matter, which is somewhat ironic considering how regularly Bush butchers the English language. But words made it possible for republicans to finally gain public support for the death tax after repeated unsuccessful attempts at trying to pass the same bill under the name of the estate tax. It is why republicans refuse to say global warming, adopting instead the less threatening climate change. It is why republicans refused to speak of undocumented immigrants, choosing instead the more emotionally-tinged illegal immigrants. Winning the battle of words oftentimes means winning the war in public perception. It is how we have the Clear Skies initiative which actually weakens environmental protections. And No Child Left Behind which does little to address educational needs. And a slew of other ridiculously named republican policies. So it comes as a surprise that when what is deemed the biggest financial crisis since the the Great Depression, the Bush administration rolls out Henry Paulson’s proposal which they originally called the Troubled Asset Rescue Plan. Frank Luntz must have cringed when he heard this. It’s little wonder that the proposal was quickly referred to as the Bailout plan. Granted, a bailout aptly describes the situation, but describing a bill for what it represents goes against the modus operandi of the Bush adminstration and republican history. Where was the Bush sales and marketing team on this one?

Washington-Wall Street Crisis: The Wow Reader Forum

To date, our misadventure in Iraq has an estimated price tag of about $700 billion. What a coincidence, that’s the cost of the bailout. Go figure.
