Sarah Palin and the Case of the Banned Books, by Sara Nelson

Kermie….those bears are huge bears, and mean to boot. I signed out and haven’t been back and people knew why I left. Same people doing the same things and saying the same things. But I smiled when I saw JaneCM…her avatar was a welcome sight….I felt back in the mainstream for just a minute….but no that’s not the case. Peace and Goodwill doll

Do you color your hair?

NP….oh my God …that is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. I do remember reading about auctioning off advertising headspace on ebay…..Go for it! ha ha ha ha Peace and Goodwill…..doll

Who is your favorite or most memorable relative (not including your spouse) and why?

Dona…..ahh how lovely. Your posts show me that you are a caring and thoughtful person. I would be proud to have been a member of your family….wait….on wow we are all family. Yay. Love prevails at all times. Peace and Goodwill….doll

Do you color your hair?

Rocky Rocky….go get those scissors. Right now I have one of those spikey stand up “hair dos” and I absolutely love it. Who cares if I supposedly am too old to wear this style (according to my older sister who has had the same boring style for 30 years). I’m going to keep this do as long as I want it! So join me…buy some mousse and go for it. “Spike It Like It” is my motto! LOL

Who is your favorite or most memorable relative (not including your spouse) and why?

Dona….what a nice thing to say. I loved my mama so much. She died at age 49 …. and unfortunately I inherited her genes and suffered a massive heart attack at that same age. Modern medicine has at least allowed me to be here for my children for several years past that age. I only hope my children will someday feel for me as I feel for my mama. Love is a grand thing. Peace and Goodwill to you Dona….doll

Bush Abortion, Contraception Plan Blasted by Groups

Oh my God when will this year and this administration end. I hang my head in sorrow and grief that I voted for the man in office. From some inside information, I knew this was coming….just one more reason for me to become a woman without a party.

How Much Is Your Underwear Worth?

The cost of my underwear????? Here is my answer for my underpants. Yesterday monring I would have laughed and laughed: ha ha ha ha ha ha They weren’t worth a hoot. But this morning I just opened a new package of 3 pair for $4.00 brand spanking new, and in colors, underpants. I am the queen for the day…..getting to wear a brand new pair of panties. LOL

UK Court Rules in Favor of British Teen Wearing Religious Bracelet to School

Why in the world would the school let it get to a “court battle”? Surely they could have made a concession for a very small religious bracelet. Of course the school set rules, but rules can be broken if there are circumstances which warrant. In my particular school system several years ago there was a very strict stern teacher. She had a rule of “NO talking, under any circumstances”. But kids will be kids. One day an 8 year old girl forgot the rule and talked. This stupid teacher, got a roll of duct tape and wrapped it around her mouth and her hair so she couldn’t talk. Unfortunately the girl had asthma and began to have an attack. She raised her hand….the teacher ignored her because she was mad. Then the girl fell on the floor and the teacher started yelling at her. The kids could see she was in trouble…and one left the room and ran to the office. By that time the teacher realized something was wrong so she frantically began to rip off the tape. Clumps of hair also came out and finally the mouth was free. The little girl had to be confined in the hospital for days for her asthma and the trauma. The teacher was prosecuted and received a prison sentence. The school and the teacher were sued and the child and her family won. Negligence at its worst. Total tragic. Peace and Goodwill…..doll

Do you color your hair?

At a young age, I remember trying to color my hair to look like Marilyn Monroe. It turned green. Then my sister-in-law, who was a well known beauty shop owner, decided I would be the perfect model for her beauty shows. So I had red hair, then blond, then burgundy, then frosted, then light brown, then dark brown, then streaked then plain again. Wow…. I got sick of it. At age 29 my front turned white. Then the sides got to be salt and pepper. Then it kind of stopped and didn’t change much. Then I had massive radiation and my hair fell out all over the top of my head. Then, when it came back it was really white and pepper…..but more white than pepper, but just on top. So I said …. you better love me as I am cause I’m not taking to the bottle again. Only my husband now knows if I color my hair. LOL

The Gloves

Sheila…I found this a profoundly moving, work of art. I found myself holding my breath. White gloves….yes, I wear them, but I feel mine are wrapped around my heart. Peace and Goodwill as I extend the hand of friendship….doll

Who is your favorite or most memorable relative (not including your spouse) and why?

When I was a child, I remember crawling up on this lady’s lap and hugging for all I was worth. She had short curly hair and the clean smell of soap. She would always hug me and pat my hair and rock her body while I was lying in her lap. She was a jokester and a comedian. I wish you could have seen her when she played the ukulele and danced the jig. And when my gramps had barn dances, she stood beside him while he played his fiddle, all the while, playing her ukulele. As the years passed, she became ill and couldn’t do much of anything but she could still hug and pat my hair and kiss my head as I sat beside her on her bed. And the smile never left her face until the day she died. She never complained either, but I know she was sad because she couldn’t get up and play the ukulele and dance her jig. This grand lady was my mama. I was but age 12 when she had to say goodbye. But I still remember her smell and can sometimes still feel her arms around me, especially when I sit in her rocker. I now visit her place in the grove of trees. What peace she must enjoy being among the flowers and the trees. She loved the flowers and the butterflies in their glory. When I visit her, I can sit on the grass and admire her nameplate upon her door to heaven. I miss her. She was special. And I will see her again. Peace and Goodwill mama, I love you…..doll

Lily on the Tony Experience

****applause….applause….applause…..applause…..applause****** Lily the great one. You have made me laugh until I was holding the stitch in my side…..upon occasion you made me cry…..you made me stare as in disbelief…..you made me want to wrap my arms around you and just hold on. But you have never changed. You are Lily. The one so many love. You are someone who can take the unknown people in the world and make them your friends. Peace and Goodwill….doll

Barbra Streisand Talks Politics

TO: James Gemmell RE: Your post By James Gemmell on 07/30/2008 11:37 am James….from reading your posts I could tell that you are well informed. You and Frank both know your stuff. Keep on posting as you have. I love to read your posts. :-) from doll ….. the former Republican…..now a woman without a party….but with a wide open mind!

Barbra Streisand Talks Politics

Barbra is a wonderful singer and a beautiful person. When she opens her mouth I expect to hear beautiful melodious tones and she does not disappoint me. Each American has the right, as long as you have not done something to violate and void that right, to vote as they choose. We also have the right of free speech. Barbra passionately believes in those things she speaks of. She should continue to do that. If she wants to talk about her support of Obama, we should not judge her nor criticize her. Each person on here can freely express their choice and that happens everyday. Just as a side note……co…I hope that your fiance didn’t disclose that little guarding gold tidbit to you and now that you posted it, it results in being a top secret leak. The armed services frown upon military or former military releasing any type of information like guarding gold and where it was and other military information. Peace and Goodwill….doll

Do you worry about presidential hopeful John McCain's age?
