Bill O’Reilly said horrible things about Dr. Tiller. Calling him “Tiller the baby killer” and saying that any woman with $5000 could just go and have a late term abortion. He screamed it, yelled it and beat it like a drum.

And that sort of thing worked crazy people into a frenzy to match O’Reilly’s frenzy.

And yet the truth is:

abortion of viable fetus permitted if 2nd M.D. certifies that abortion is necessary to preserve life of mother or fetus has severe, life-threatening deformity or abnormality.

These are tragic circumstances where the woman wanted a baby. Often it’s performed to ensure a woman’s future fertility.

It took great Courage for Tiller to perform this procedure, in spite of constant death threats and previously being wounded.

That Fox news and O’Reilly lied and smeared this man, inciting as much hatred as they possibly could, is mind boggling to me.

Equating their disgusting behavior and that of murderers to liberal women posting on wow, is childish and irresponsible.

I have always thought of Dyer as a good deal more than an “armchair psychologist”. But I must say, based on this piece, I would have to totally agree with your assessment. In fact that describes my reaction to reading this excerpt, to a T.

It has been a very long time since I listened to Dyer or read his books. But this excerpt has a decidedly different tone, than my recollections of his work.

But don’t think for a minute that Cornyn isn’t try to play both sides. He just said he would not rule out a filibuster. He’s trying to please the base,and not enrage the Hispanic population. He will undoubtedly piss off both groups.

Mahulda, Daily Kos did not “report” that Palin’s baby was her daughters. A poster, posted a “diary”, making such a statement. The only people who can be considered “reporting” are the “front pagers” whose stories are written on the front page.. They work for Kos. Everybody else has no more to do with speaking for Kos, than anyone here on wow speaks for wow, unless they work for wow. Anyone can post on Kos, just like anyone can post on wow. And just like wow, posts (and “diaries”) that are deemed offensive can be deleted.

While wow did not delete the “babygate” posts , Daily Kos did delete all such diaries, calling them ‘unsubstantiated rumor-mongering’.

One, especially celebrated and “recommended” diary on Kos, denounced babygate and posted a picture of a, then pregnant Sarah Palin, looking very pregnant.

The diaries posted by Liberals denouncing and criticizing the rumor-mongering, were not deleted.

The fact is the country has been moving to the left with each passing year. Reaping the disaster of the Right’s governing has certainly helped the shift. The Republican loses in Congress, would attest to that.

I am not arguing with you. I am not arguing with Bill. I think you may be blowing my innocuous statement out of proportion.

I didn’t respond to your post about “we have plenty of men on this blog” because you misread my post, and that happens all the time, when people are getting worked up. I was being funny. When Phyllis posted, I made another joke. You didn’t think that that was funny either. I just didn’t feel the need to come in and have a deep conversation about something I was felt very shallow about. So I just changed the names of your post and posted it back to you. A joke. I thought the “See we’re not so different after all.” was a dead giveaway.

If you want to be upset, then you will be upset. But that was not my intention. Perhaps you are emotionally involved in the conversation taking place to and about Bill. But I am not. So I don’t want to argue about this.

I do see that I put others down, just as you put others down. Everybody on wow does. It’s a bloody pastime. I am not immune or above being tacky, rude, crude, condescending and arrogant. And on occasion, funny.

I was responding to an astute observation, about a post of mine, by a lovely person. I said nothing to Bill and nothing to you. I guess my off hand remark was so close to the truth that it scared you so you could do nothing more but “carp” at me and put me down. IF that scares you and all you could do was ridicule me in return, shows your true colors.
