Is Hillary Clinton being snubbed as Secretary of State?

Or if the requirement is ‘edgy and catchy’ they could have said: We have seen the new Foreign Policy and It is bad-ass! or Hillary’s new Foreign Policy: Matrix, meets Kimodo, meets International Super Sophisticate. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Is Hillary Clinton being snubbed as Secretary of State?

Oh, “The Coat of Magical Wonderfulness!” That was Rachel Maddow’s reaction as Hillary deplaned, taking her first International steps, into what will surely be, a most remarkable role as Secretary of State. Visibly moved and profoundly impressed, Maddow raved over the first sight of Hillary, descending on Asia in “some kind of super bad, technicolor dream coat, awesome lining, that is Keanu Reeves in the Matrix, meets Kimodo, meets International Super Sophisticate. We have seen the new Foreign Policy and It. Is. Bad. Ass !” The greatest threat to world peace and stability, is the world economic crisis. Andrea Mitchell traveling with the Hillary Clinton, says Hillary is expanding and enlarging the role of Secretary of State. Clinton remarked “I chose to go to Asia deliberately …the global economic crisis is the backdrop against which this visit takes place. The four nations I’ll be visiting are all members of the G-20. … I will be discussing with them the approaches that each are taking, explaining what we have just done with the passage of our stimulus bill, and seeking greater cooperation about how together we’re going to work our way through these very difficult economic times.” Hillary is also dealing with the vital issue of North Korea and their nuclear capabilities .“We do want to work through the (now stalled) Six-Party Talks, and I will be discussing with South Korea, Japan and China how best to get the negotiations back on track.” . There is so much more, that is both encouraging and fascinating about this trip and how Hillary is expanding the office of Secretary of State. We have too limited an understanding of the scope and interconnectedness of what is happening in the world. Important foundations are being laid and reinforced by Sec of State Clinton, that will have far reaching implications, both at home and internationally. Rather than any ‘snub’, Hillary is being entrusted with the very foundations that will determine the future of the world.

Astronomical Unemployment Goes Global; Stimulus Can't Come Fast Enough (Video)

what an interesting article! I didn’t see it on the front page. Am I blind? Or was it not there?

What's in the Economic Stimulus Bill for You?

The stimulus bill is called ‘The American Recovery and Investment Act’. The beauty of elegance: I am particularly interested in stimulus, such as energy that improve our infrastructure, provide employment; stimulate new business, reduce our dependency on foreign oil, put money back in the taxpayers pockets and reduce our future costs, individually and nationally. Here is some info on energy related items in the Bill: - Research into renewable energy and improving energy efficiency.: biofuel research geothermal projects, integration of the grid with information technology. fossil fuels related including clean coal, geologic carbon sequestration greening our military.

- Clean Energy Deployment : loan guarantees to support private loans for renewable energy and transmission technologies.

- Energy Efficiency : better insulation, low energy appliances etc.; Weatherization Assistance Program; Green federal buildings; Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program; State Energy Program; Energy Efficiency Appliance Rebate program and the Energy Star Program; improve the efficiency of Native American housing units; increase the energy efficiency of low-income housing supported by HUD.

- Electrifying Transportation, Alternative Fuels and Efficient Vehicles : Funding for replacing fossil fuels in vehicles.

- Public Transit and Rail : Investing in mass transit systems: Construction of high speed passenger rail (HSR) and regular intercity passenger rail service; Amtrak general funding; public transit construction, maintenence and upgrades.

- Modernizing the Electrical Grid : Improving grid efficiency, enabling longer, wider transmission and giving consumers better information on their usage.

- Tax Incentives, Credits and Bonds for Clean Energy Deployment and extension of Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit, Tax credit for wind generators. Bonds to help finance the construction of new renewable energy projects owned/operated by non-profit entities, including public power providers, state/municipal/tribal governments, and electric cooperatives.

- New Energy Economy Workforce Development : to fund workforce training for careers in renewable energy and energy efficiency

- Energy Efficiency Deployment : Bonds to finance state/municipal/tribal government programs to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions; extend and increase tax credits for energy efficient home improvements; tax credits for Electrifying Transportation, Alternative Fuels and Efficient Vehicles; increase business and individual tax credits for alternative fuel pumps and refueling infrastructure tax credits for the purchase of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

Shelby White: Americans Should Split the Stimulus

let us spend it in our own fashion to pull us out of the recession” Geez, Shelby needs $10,000? That’s very funny. Her ideas do not begin to address the comprehensive needs that face us. They are just simple and easy and we don’t have to tax our little brains on the complex areas from which we must tackle the problems facing us. How about a some articles on where and what the money in the stimulous is going to? What each states gets? That would be intelligent and informative and perhaps engender real and productive discussion. That would actually educate people and perform a service. More people might read and comment on this site, who are really interested in how to get our country back on track and what is actually being done. Instead of the nonsensical idiocracy that fills these pages, lately.

Dear President Obama: No One Voted for Despair and Change

Dearest DeBurca Just for a little clarity- “Life In Italy” Nancy Pelosi, will be in Rome for talks with top Italian officials focusing in the global economic crisis and other leading issues. Aside from economic questions, she will review bilateral relations between Rome and Washington, including cooperation between the two countries in regard to the environment and leading international issues, including the situations in the Middle East, Iraq and Afghanistan. She will be meeting with the President of Italy, as well as the Chamber of Deputies. She will address the lower house on future security challenges. Pelosi and Gianfranco Fini (her counterpoint in the Italian house) will be holding a joint press conference. The ways and means of combating climate change will be the focus of a conference she will address at the American Studies Center, where she will be joined by former premier Giuliano Amato. The US House speaker will also be meeting with Premier Silvio Berlusconi.

Dear President Obama: No One Voted for Despair and Change

Thank you Sherrie! I am fine with being ignored. I have decided to return to my stance of “Do Not Feed The Trolls” I posted the info to ‘My Alias’ because I was of the opinion that she really did want to know. But most of the ‘bottom feeders’ who say nasty things and ask idiotic questions, they don’t want to know. They want to argue. And when we argue with them. they enjoy it very much. Nothing will change on this site, until there is a concerted effort not to take the bait! I think they should be left to talk to each other. And the people who want to have real discourse and discussions should talk to each other and disengage from feeding those who hunger for destruction and say whatever they think will engender the ugliest exchanges. It is an addiction you know, arguing with robotic, illogical, hate-mongering. It is completely and utterly pointless. We have too much work to do in this country to waste our time, feeding the insatiable undead and their enablers, who would drag this country even further down. They are out of power and miserable. Arguing with them makes them feel ‘significant’ and gives them a feeling of power. Why contribute to that, to them? Why allow them to fill up their emptiness, with our full hearts and minds?

Dear President Obama: No One Voted for Despair and Change

Actually she is visiting Japan and then China. These Chinese had requested that China’s foreign minister Yang Jiachi, travel to the White House to speak with Obama. Washington did not reply to the request, sending Hillary to talk to them, instead. Verrrry Interesting. Stopping in Japan first is important because there has been worry in Tokyo that Obama and Hillary, in particular would pass Japan over in favor of working with the Chinese. In an extremely unusual move, Hillary has added a meeting with Ichiro Ozawa, leader of the main opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), to her itinerary. There is serious chance the DPJ-led opposition camp may oust the ruling coalition. Obama On Health Care February 4th, 2009 As President Barack Obama signed legislation expanding publicly funded health insurance for children, he said : “But this bill is only a first step. The way I see it, providing coverage to 11 million children … is a down payment on my commitment to cover every single American… And it is just one component of a much broader effort to finally bring our health care system into the twenty-first century. … I’ve heard … we can ignore…the high cost of health care and still expect our economy and our country to thrive. I reject these theories, and so did the American people when they went to the polls in November and voted resoundingly for change. …I am confident that we can finally achieve what generations of Americans have fought for and fulfill the promise of health care in our time.”

You sound more upbeat than other reporters? Really? Liz Peek: From The FOX News Blogs » FOX Forum January 8, 2009 “Advice for Obama: Put a Sock In It” January 20 “Hey, America, Take a Chill Pill … we are about to inaugurate the first African American President of the United States — it is possible that our collective giddiness will lead to the worst kind of disappointment” January 27 “Obama to Detroit: Drop Dead” February 2 ““Pop” Goes the Obama Balloon: I’m worried about our new president. He’s been on the job only 14 days and he’s already petulant. How in the world will he survive the next four years?” February 11 “Geithner Lays an Egg and Feeds Fears Obama Is Not Up to the Job” Whose fears Liz? Not the American people’s. Obama’s approval rating is at 68%. Exactly the same as it was when he was elected. I believe the fear you refer to is your own fear mongering.
