I’ve been watching Project Runway the last few days as the past seasons have been rerun. It’s been one of those guilty pleasures…like watching a train wreck…the designers stressed out and crying over their own poor design. Since I’m a size ample I find it all quite amusing.

I’m soooo tired of hearing what a great leader Ronnie Regan was…he was a great actor…period. He was surrounded by the evil cabal we have in power now who have allowed business to run ruffshod over this great country and just about destroy it. I’m tired of the Clintons as well…who now feel entitled…entitled to more millions to squander while people are dying over inadequate health care? Stop the insanity…term limits now.

IGoogle is my home page beacause it can be anything you want it to be …everything on it’s own tab. I have one for mindless games just to pass the time. One of RSS feeds and one of my favorite things. The best feature is is the google tool bar…I can instantly good to Cook.com, CNET, Ask and Craig’s list at the touch of a button.

This site reflects the diversity of women. We are our own worst enemy sometimes…why do we still chase other women’s husbands thinking they’ll chose us over the current wife? What did those women win exactly? Just like the posts of the Hillary supporters who say the nomination was stolen from her? REALLY? I will vote for a woman president in my lifetime but it will be a classy lady not a one who refuses to admit she’s made mistakes and one who stands for values and issues I support not manipulates the slate to shamelessly promote herself. Remember the issues? Men should be welcome here, some of them get us and some need to get to know us better. Those that want a woman only site or a 40 plus site don’t get me and don’t represent me in any way.

Lipstick! I remember when my aunts carried lipstick in their apron pockets to reapply just before their husbands arrived home. I also remembered being told a lady never reapplies her lipstick at the table, which I find a delightfully, dishy thing to do!

I miss laugh out loud TV! The Cosby show, WKRP, Mary Tyler Moore, MASH, Barney Miller. I wanted to marry Roger Moore on 77 Sunset Strip, then I wanted to marry Columbo after he cooked in one episode! I miss the polish proverbs on Banacek. We need more escape TV and people having fun. Hope Jay Leno lands a new gig, I will miss watching him have a great laugh with Terry Bradshaw.

Grace, I would encourage you to check out Rev. Wright’s actual sermons on You Tube. I’m so tired of half truths and distortions. I am a white woman in Chicago and not a member of his church, but from what I’ve listened to I would be a proud member. The reverend asks us to examine our own personal relationship with God, not to be examining others relationships to their Gods and to ask ourselves if that relationship is real or fake.

I too found was delighted to learn of this new site on Charlie Rose. Here’s a toast to both Ann Richards and Molly Ivins! The world is just not the same with their “tell it like it is” style. WOWOWOW you go girls!
