Hi Kim, Hope you get a response from someone at Wow. I must have asked a dozen questions…..never to hear an answer…………but I am curious what I missed…….and do hope yours is answered.

Please tell what internal dialogue you use to “give up” anger.

If Oprah had endorsed Hillary instead of Barack, she would be the nominee. I think this is true. Truth is something I want in politicians. I wasn’t sure whether the whole truth was being said by “which candidate.” I think the world of Senator Clinton’s intelligence, knowledge, charisma….but was not 100% sure of her telling the whole truth.(rewind some speeches-so sad) Same for Senator Obama…..was he credible? When Oprah, from up- close interviews decided that Senator Obama could be trusted. Well, call me anything you to, but, I and thousands of others, believed her. Believed Oprah would tell us the truth and so therefore, Sen Obama could then be believed.

Another point of view: In Tiananmen Square with thousands of Chinese nationals and lots of tourists, my American daughter and friend are working for the caterer for the US sponsers, Pres. delegation, and the U.S. athletes. These two 21 yr. old long blonde haired ladies were hoping to see the Olympic Green and some of the buildings while the opening day ceremonies took place. No one can get within sight of these buildings unless they have a ticket to an event, which they do not have. The Chinese guards came and made a human rope and cleared the space of the people by closing in and slowly pushing everyone to the road. My daughter and friend stayed with the cab drivers (they both speak Mandarin.) Watched the opening fireworks and left to go back to Beijing U (Peking U.) where they are staying for the month, to watch the ceremony on tv, just like we did here at home. A bit disappointed.

Poem was a joy to read. Poetry as an art form can support and cradle a feeling, or an event or an idea, in an extra extra ordinary manner. thanks for this poem. made me think.

Joan, Soooo agree with you. I go to on-line NYTimes and Wash Post for news. Our TV network news has let us down once again. Can anyone on Wowowow get this message to the news editors??? Women want real news, not dumb-stick news.

Love that saying……each moment is a gift. That is why it’s called the present. Each moment is what we have. In this moment I can be reading, exercsing, listening to grow my mind, my body, my outlook, which will , in the next moment, be prepared. A sense of future events and the next step are in my vision. We make our present moment from past moments of work and preparedness. Not being very wise and certainly not articulate: I know that I am responsible for each moment and not some weed in the wind. I will not be a victim, a parasite, nor a complainer of having landed where I am. Be aware of now and be responsible for it too, through preparation through the preceding moments. Direction is part of my now.

As a Wow talker and a woman that submitted my favorite flower, the calla lily, you can see I hope not to be about what I look like, what color skin, how old, how thin, how great my shoes or not. ….meanwhile….the lily was sewn in London on a pillow purchsed in the early 1970’s in Coventry Square. Can we have a true camera picture in profile and a symbolic photo next ot our comments? Wowowow?

Beautiful, powerful, awesome, inspiring…..give me a thesaurus cuz I need more words! :) The age of China has officially dawned. It is easy to respect such an intelligent and hard-working population. A bit scary to my little U.S. patch, but thankfully China’s government considers the US a friend.

Saw her on stage while in audience for David Letterman’s show back in 2005. She seemed young, scared, very pretty and…well…young. A tender caring partner is just what she needs. Good for her. Hope she has found a warm embrace. Life is tough and love makes it so much easier.

Gifts of Music. Can you share the school sysytem, town, state? Here in Philadelphia Martin Luther Ling High School is about to reinstate their music and arts classes fall 2008. Would love to know more.

In the US—- Teach for America- Wow—-Have you read about this? Real changes, student by student, here in the US schools. Son teaches phyiscs and chemistry in NC for TFA. A 90% Afrivan American, 10% Native American school. Same district has 90 % white American. Goes by economics by neighborhood. These are kids willing to learn and when taught, continue to college. Great stories to tell. Many stories to tell.
