From watching t.v. ads I would think that the majority of us are hypochondriacs. Do you sneeze when you smell a flower - ask your doctor of this pill. Socially nervous - ask your docor for this pill. Did the outside noise make sleeping impossible last night - ask your doctor for this pill. Is your kid running around like a kid - ask your doctor for this pill. Feel your breast, check your colon, that headache could be a stroke, heartburn could be cancer, gas could be ulcers, earwax could be brain melt down. Lord, lord, lord. Gave up fearing what could be wrong years ago and now concentrate on what makes the body work effctively.

As to the article - ain’t science great. It is catching up with dogs and shamans.

Joan - going along with the Star Trek theme - use your powers for good. As everyone has said - if you save one person it will be worth all the crabapples that react negatively. You just have to talk yourself into the space where being rebuffed will not affect you. Otherwise, doing good could cause harm to your self esteem. Even the people that react rudely may go home and think about it, driving them to seek medical opinions. Because I have dealt with so many in my family with cancer I have developed the ability to tell whether they are termal. I can see it in their eyes. What is really weird is that sometimes they know that I know. I have never said anything to any of them - but some have brough it up to me. Some are angry with me and don’t want me around and some are glad they have someone to talk to because their doctors keep trying to tell them there is hope. It is strange. You just have to use your ability in a way that will help others but not harm yourself.

Does it drive anyone but me crazy that everyone is asking what the answers to the real issues are? Neither one of them seems to have a honest to goodness ‘this is what I am going to try to get done’, just vague ‘I will make it better’. I am voting for BO but even he is driving me nuts.

Winery - No words can take away that pain. Living life to its fullest is the best memorial you can give your brother. Evening is best for me. My clock has always been with the owls. People have questioned me about never seeing the sunrise. I have probably seen more sunrises than most - when the sun comes up - I go down. Of course I have had to adjust to the real world many times, but for health and happiness I will take the moonlight over sunlight any day.

I don’t even know what to say. I just want to go to sleep and wake up when it is over. (The convention - not the election)

JCM - lord I didn’t mean to write a book - that was one long ass reply LOL. Elsa, the cow - I love that. Will share it with my daughter. We have often used - we are part pinto horse. Norweign, French, Polish, Pinto - that always stops people. Tell your friend that it is godsent to have something that makes you stand out - why be like everyone else? My daughter loves to say she is beautiful with creative skin.

Boy I am going to get busted for this - I sometimes think that people will look for any excuse other than ‘sorry we just don’t need someone with your abilities any longer’. They discriminated against me because of my __________ (you fill in the blank). If she is in her sixties there is a good chance that she has not caught up with all the new technology that is needed to run most offices today. I will be looking for work soon and I can tell you that I have owned two businesses and managed several others but I will be very careful about the jobs I even apply for. My 17yr grandson knows more about these computers, blackberries, etc. than I do. He has to help me with my home computer half the time. I will only be able to work part time because of the boys and I am just going to start looking for something I enjoy and can make a few extra bucks. There is no way that I can compete with these young whipper snappers unless I am willing to go back to school. I can still learn - but do I really want to. If she was passed over for a series of jobs it was most likely because they would have to retrain her in to many areas.

C A Rose - my first laugh tonite! I don’t know how to tell this BUT playing your cancer card means you have been ‘rode hard and hung up wet’. The good part is that when it is over you can rest after the rough ride and dry out. Just don’t lose that wonderful sense of humor during the ride.

I will ask this question of every woman that has ever been cheated on - Didn’t you know in your gut BEFORE you started looking for signs? Isn’t the fact that you are looking for signs just a way to confirm what you already know? I knew - didn’t want to know - but I knew.
