What advice would you give to a 21-year-old woman?

Become independent - emotionally, financially, and spiritually.

Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann on Immigration

There are as many solutions to this problem as there are great minds trying to solve it. What we have to remember is to dislike the problem and not the people. Edith Ann would give them a cookie and let the grown-ups fight it out.

Mary Wells Says This Gaudi-Gehry Experience You Have to Have

In my dark moments my spirit cries for the people that are starving while we waste money on foolish things - and then I see things like this that make me realize that the soul needs to be fed also. Thank you so much for sharing.

What, or whom, do you take for granted?

I agree with ayiti 1. I take myself for granted. I have to remind myself daily to take care of myself mentally, physically, and spiritually or I will be no good to anyone.

Did you become what you wanted to be when you grew up?

I should have stated that I wanted to be an archeologist. Instead of studing the lives of past generations I have been contribution to the future generations with four children, four grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren.

Did you become what you wanted to be when you grew up?

I am not sure I would have been happy if I would have become what I wanted to be. I know that I have treasures in my life now that I wouldn’t change for anything. And I still have the crazy idea that I can be whatever I want at whatever age I am. I started college in my late 50’s with the idea of becoming the next Dr. Ruth but I ended up adopting my twin two-year greatgrandsons this year so I might have to wait until I am in my eighties. Maybe I will give Whistler’s Mother a run for her money and take up painting. I never know what is around the next corner. With 62 coming up fast I am now thinking about t-ball and little league. Life is strange.

If you were Bart's wife, what would you do in the morning?

Confronting him would be the only thing that I could do. Even if he lied to me atleast he would know that I knew. Honestly is always the best policy - - even if you are the only one being honest.

'wOw Friend' Liz Peek on the Dangers of Today's Dwindling Downtime

I found this quote the other day - it sure caused me to stop and think. “What was it that I was so interested in as a youth, before I was told I had to earn a living?” Buckminster Fuller Soon I will have time again and hope I can get back to the wonder of life. I remember laying on the ground looking at the sky through the trees and thinking of nothing other than how beautiful it was.

What Happens to Us After We Die?

My father told me years ago that the two greatest adventures that we will ever go on is being born and dying. We can never know what is going to happen when either event happens.
