What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery – and won big?

Dona, QM has had similar problems. Fortunately for her the one investment she takes income from has not really changed. So I guess they would say she doesn’t look as good on paper, but our lifestyle hasn’t taken any major hits. I wish you well. CA

Have you ever had cancer?

After reading all the previous posts, I should add that my treatment for each different and separate cancer has varied. I’ve had over 20 surgeries, radiation, Bio-therapy (Bacillus-Calmette-Guerin treatment), and intravesical chemotherapy (Mytomycin-C). I am considered to have ‘cancer as a chronic illness.’ CA

Over the past 20 yrs I have had 7 different Primary Site cancers…uterine, ovarian, bladder, rt ureter&kidney, colon, and both basal and squamous cell skin cancers. I’ve had and been treated for numerous reocurrances of my bladder ca and skin ca’s. I have an angel on my shoulder, and thankful for her. CA

Should advertisers be acting differently in light of the latest figures on marketing to women?

Of course they should! I would also appreciate web advertisers make better gender choices when they send spam. Since I don’t have a penis, I don’t see the need for Viagra, penis enlargement or, medication for prostate issues. I also have no desire to see ‘Trixie’s sexy photos, and have absolutely no desire to participate in a dating web site. I find all that c**p a waste of my time cleaning it out of my Junk Mail. CA

Along with a big hug, and considering what is culturally correct, I will kiss one or both cheeks. I also try to make my sure that my greeting is in their native language. My good friends would expect nothing less. CA

Serena, What is an NTI? I had just broken another tooth over the holiday and saw the dentist today to have it fixed. I wish I had seen this before I left, as a 10AM dental appointment is almost beyond my capability to be anywhere but asleep. CA

I have TMJ, and find my appliance is almost worn through in many spots. I’m lucky I still have real teeth. I also get migraines. That covers it. CA

I also agree with you Whoopie. I have been fortunate to have been exposed to great diversity my entire life. I am a virtual sponge, and lust for new information. The more we learn, the more we know…at least that is my philosophy. CA

Do you watch late-night television?

I’m an insomniac. I always find the best short documentaries and travel shows late at night on PBS. I also get replays of the NewsHour and Charlie Rose in case I miss them earlier in the evening. My only problem is if I stay up beyond 2AM. If I do I am awake until the following night. If you read my post on ‘What I hear outside my house at night,’ you’ll understand what else I do in the middle of the night. CA

What do you hear outside the windows of your home at night?

It’s pretty quiet on our ‘Dead End’ street. For now it is just the cats that have chosen my bedroom window to fight under in the middle of the night. My response consists of grabbing my power blaster type squirt gun kept at the ready near our carport door and squirt them till they run off. When the (now adult and don’t live with their parents) teenage sons of our neighbors across the street had loud drunken parties all night long when the folks were out of town, I would go out with my cell phone in one hand and a pistol in the other hand and tell them they had a choice…to shut up and take their party off the street or I call the police with my cell phone or use my weapon. They would usually smart off and tell me to call the cops. Much to their surprise ‘I lied’, and the police would be pulling up as I turned and headed into my house. I had worked the police calling thing out with their parents, and the pot and alcohol soon stayed out of sight…the noise, well, I remember the things I used to do as a teenager and I was worse. One thing they knew for sure is that every time they woke me up at 3AM the police would be there. For what it’s worth, I’m glad I live in a right to bear arms state. Oh! I forgot to mention that I would take photo’s of the all the cars and their license plates for the police. Am I bad? CA
