Women should be ruling the world. Why are we still having to fight to get to the top, or get a movie made? What keeps us from our potential? When will we realize just how powerful we are?

Why is it that when women don’t like someone the jugular they go for is weight? Simple minded insults come from simple minded people. And I’ll bet if the world was going to end, the person who wrote that awful comment would watch whatever was necessary to save her own miserable life.

Watch a bunch of upbeat movies and write. I find that as I get older I try and change the flavor of the situation instead of wallowing in it.

It’s quite funny…. and I agree with him…. any woman who has a giant preserved crab on her desk and a complete bear made into a couch, should be feared. She is so far behind the times frontier women would call her old fashioned. She is no more ready for this job than a twelve year old school girl.

Wear your hair anyway you want….. were it up, down, brown, beige, yellow, red or blonde. Were it long, wear it short, wear it in a ponytail…… it should reflect the way you feel about yourself. Age does not limit what you can do with your hair, unless you let style gurus tell you it does.

I am in Colonial Williamsburg and saw a thing called Cry Witch last night. I am certainly glad that I was not raised in that age. All those clothes you had to wear. You had to cover your joints because they were considered unsightly. But, even with the 19th Amendment, and the Women’s Equality Movement, we are still as second class in citizenship as the women who lived in the Virginia Colony in 1706. I am glad I can wear pants, but wish some woman could wear them in the White House when sitting behind her desk in the Oval Office.

If a woman can still be put in a position like this, we are still living in the dark ages. I wish I was there was something any of us in the west could do to change these silly laws in predominately Muslim countries. It is what makes me mad that Islam exists. I feel powerless to help. We are dealing with a religious issues, and therefore it is not particularly “fixable” by changing laws. Don’t get me started about female circumcision. BARBARIC I tell you, just BARBARIC.

I thought a cougar has to be “significantly older than her “prey”. Like me. I am 52 and my partner is 34. Anniston does not qualify because she is not close to a cougar-ly age and her boy toy is only nine years her junior. Who is making the rules here?

All the men that got us in this economic mess. I wonder if we of the female gender would have done so poorly at running things? I am sick inside about what is happening. I worry that we will fall into an economic depression as well as a depression of the souls.

Ah, why did the article have to end…. I loved the her I knew from the movies I watched as a child on saturdays….. I loved her from what I read about her in books…. and I loved the fact that she was a woman of strong spirit. I hope to be like her in my old age….. getting on with a vibrant life, in spite of a body that is not what it used to be.

Why pine for someone when you could be out living life instead.

I’m doing it now, not because I am dying, but because you never know when the end will come and if you don’t do it today, you might miss the chance. So… my partner and I are living in a well loved RV we’ve named Ruby Sunshine and we are traveling the country eating, and seeing, and smiling, and she is teaching me cribbage. I am writing and learning to marry my chef skills to my old, and rusty, journalistic skills. If you have the means, don’t wait… start checking off your bucket list now!

This is an example of exactly what is wrong with the rich in this country….. what’s the point of overdose by fat cat partying? Why write about it when there is so much more to comment on right now?
