Sorry, I ment to say I hope GOD does NOT judge you as harshly as you have judged Ted Kennedy

oh my goodness Mark Rowe, I only hope GOD judges you as harshly as you seem to judge Ted Kennedy.  The difference is thats GODS job, not yours.

Miss Hardy, Mr Kennedy has more than paid for his sins by loving america and her citizens. He was not a vindictive preson.  All of the Republicans who were caught in sexual scandles were always voting against bills that pertained to this type of thing, always judgmental of everyone but themselvs and preaching against exactly what they were doing.  I do not remember in any of Mr. Kennedys speeches being judgmental of what we as sinners do in this world.  Thats what Republicans do not understand.

My deep sadness is not just for the Kennedy family, but for our country, we have lost the last person who just simply loved the people of this country. Thats what the Kennedys were all about, their mother gave them that gift,  I have lost hope now for the govt of this country, now the prime reason for being there are the perks and being re elected to office .

we are retired.  I spent a lot of time eating out during those years,  of course there are only 2 of us, breakfast is mostly fruit, yogurt or nothing, dinner at noon, ya get the kitchen cleaned up and not have to spend the time in the evening, we eat whatever we think sound good for the supper, cereal, soup, etc.  My cooking far overshadows what one can get eating out, plus the same meal is half the price.

Crying like a baby when Maria gave the testimonial to her mother, I wondered why can’t politicians love this country  the same way and try to do what is best for it, like she did for so many special needs people,  I have a feeling she loved them the same way she loved her children

would you rather have the government be between you and your doctor, or an insurance exe. between you and your doctor?

Of course losing a loved one is difficult reguardless of age, my father died at age 64 in 1966 of a massive heartattack, my mother died at the age of 99 in 2004.  I think of both of them daily.  What I don’t understand is why someone who is 70 some and up clings to life no matter how much pain, physical and emotional, wants to go on and will insist on medical procedures to go on and on living. I do believe the medical people already without discussing it with everyone in the family,  help the suffering person die, not by killing them but just letting nature take its course, so why are people so horribly upset by what they think the national health plan is going to let people die???????

My mom had a wonderful life, children, grandchildren who loved her and spent a lot of time with her thru the years, very good health and a wonderful mind till the last 2 weeks of her life, yet she was ready to die years before she finally did. 

I have a living will, my children absoutely know how i feel about dying and are ok with it. I am 73 and in relatively good health, diabetic but totally under control.  I am ready anytime now, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and I know they will miss me, but………  I miss my parents, grandmothers, etc., and I know everyone will get on with their lives after my hubby and I are gone, I do not understand why people have such a hard time discussing dying with family members, is it guilt because some really wish that the care of the parent is not close at hand for them? Afraid that the parents will be angry because they don’t want to die, I wish I had the answer for people who fear death, but I don’t and we all need to learn to live with our own mortality.

I would like for anyone who needs or has health insurance to go on line and read or watch the Bill Moyers journal interview with Wendell Potter, it will scare the heck out of you.

I can’t believe that you are mostly all so judgemental and  impatient, my god  give him time, it took Mr. Bush 8 years to make this mess, why in heavens name do you espect Pres. Obama to clean it up in 7 months, our economy was in the toilet thanks to Mr. Reagan and anything goes market.Bush put us in debt with the war, our children were already scheduled to pay for that, plus I imagine things we are not even aware of, but probably will be in the next 15 years.  So you lost 50% of your retirement, there are people who lost their jobs. Learn to adjust your life style.  I know people who are in their 80’s who have to work to pay rent and buy food,   What will be will be.

The demise of GL make me sad too, at the age of 73, I have listened to it on the radio, and off and on tv thru the years.  The tv shows of today are so pathetic, especially the reality shows, that I tape the soaps and watch them in the evening instead of what is on the networks.  Ah well, guess I will just stop even watching tv.

Poor Laura,  Meghan tore into the republican party , not for their weight problem, but for their idiology, but apparently Laura couldn’t find anyway to reply so she just lit into Megan for an imaginary weight problem

I guess what we need most thru all of this turmoil is for the "IN A HURRY" american people to just CHILL, my god they have all been in these jobs for less thn 2 months, we are pitiful in our rush to solve everything, after all it took at least 8 years to reach this point, and probably since Reagan started the deregulations and each president added to the "LET UM HAVE AT IT" mind set.
