Kip - you are correct. The “speech” today was positioning for HRC’s next move BECAUSE we shut her movie down in NYC this week — after Tuesday night. We can triangulate, too! Her next move will be monitored VERY CAREFULLY here in NYC — which is why she cannot raise money from the fat-cats here any longer and is belatedly pitching her website (albiet, curiously and sadly DURING her speeches). She will have some latitude and an external base of support, but her “home base” is eroding and New Yorkers can move forward beyond her/her interests before she returns from vacation. Tuesday night was a SHAMEFUL display — in NYC — and a slap to a HUGE African-American constituency and pols who warmly embraced her candidacy for Senator when the dying Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan didn’t WANT HER…or a Clinton, per his wife. Senator Moynihan LOVED New York. He was CORRECT. Charlie now knows, he was WRONG.

New York has a qualified new Governor, who took control of our State and reins of power — in the middle of the budgetary process, which he completed in less than 30 days — for a State whose budget is second ONLY to California and the United States of America. He did so under duress w/out his own Staff in place and with GRACE and DIGNITY for himself, our humiliated State/NYC who voted for another totally FLAWED pol…and the DIGNITY for Silda Spitzer and her children. I have known him since childhood and he not only has the CHARACTER and ability to remain Governor — he WILL remain the Governor of New York. He will not leverage us for further AMBITION and he will not SHAME us. He will be committed to OUR SECURITY because his father, siblings, wife and children were BORN in New York City and he LOVES us. His family has a long history of SERVICE to New York. We hope David Paterson continues to remain the Governor of the Empire State — and continues to make legislation/laws serve ALL of its constituencies in revolutionary ways — such as what he did w/in a two mos. for my gay/lesbian friends and intends to do for my disabled friends. No other Governor or Senator or Congressman/woman — despite the posturing and pandering — has done ANYTHING to sure my gay/lesbian friends have the dignity they deserve for real. PROGRESS! Gotta love it!

countrywoman - HRC came to NYC in “triumph” on the night Senator Obama won the Democratic Nomination. The next day, it was OVER. New York isn’t Arkansas.

New Yorkers not only have the right, but an OBLIGATION to make our opinions known about the Junior Senator from the State of New York — just like any other State has/does for THEIR own jurisdiction. We will continue to hold the Junior Senator ACCOUNTABLE for her conduct as long as she remains in that capacity — which she was/is — at present. She was reminded of this pertinent FACT by Charlie Rangel and the NY Delgation — pressured by beyond fatigued New Yorkers — last week. There is too much at stake for OUR SECURITY to continue to play these games. We want this Iraq War STOPPED and we do not want plans or terrorists attacking us again — or Senators who vote to deflect resources and attention AWAY from those who do.

Kip - Ditto, my NY HRC supporter friends and…here it has even more significant long-term CONSEQUENCES because she hopes to return to continue to leverage New York State/City as her PLATFORM for her future ambition(s). So, imagine if your friends were mirrored here — she would LOSE the State now. Charlie Rangel was VERY UNHAPPY…but, Hillary wasn’t…last Tuesday! Did you see Charlie and the NY Delegation in the Baruch College bunker/gym? Nope!

I agree w/the posts re “hormone challenged nut” as unacceptable. HRC is a totally FLAWED Senator, Candidate for the Presidency — challenged by a superior politician. She MISMANAGED her Campaign and arrogantly walked up to the plate ENTITLED. She has learned, otherwise and — mercifully — has finally accepted reality, at least sufficiently for Barack to begin the long, hard process of PLANNING and EXECUTING a General Election Campaign, Convention and end game. HRC gave her friend, John McCain (and Joe Lieberman), 3 months headstart and bloodied a fellow Democrat FOR THEM — before Charlie Rangel - her sponsor/patron in New York — FORCED HER TO STOP because she was jeopardizing the entire Democratic political delegation w/out a care. Bill is another story. No need to personally assault HRC. She was campaigning and running up bills Barack/Democrats will have to pay — FOR JOHN MCCAIN. She knew exactly what she was doing and we will have to (again) overcome it — and Clinton Inc. Then, we will address the New York JUNIOR Senator’s continuing role as such — where there will be no crowds or people who identify themselves as “hard working…very hard working….white Americans.” ALL New Yorkers are HARD WORKING!

HRC’s credibility for an international postion was compromised by the BOSNIA-SNIPER FIRE lies. Americans need to know we can rely on the impressions and veracity of information we are provided in this pivotal role — while we are WAR on two fronts. Once again — HRC disqualified herself from consideration based upon her own hubris. We already have a delusional President, Cabinet and former head of the CIA. Thousands of Americans paid their last measure for their BOGUS intelligence and war games. Hundreds of thousands of more Iraquis have also paid the ultimate price. No Secretary of State posting for Hillary Clinton.

Bush as President — and why, if we don’t enroll millions of new voters and make our case — the triangulating Clintons will give us a John McCain/Bush 3rd Term. The Clintons don’t WANT another Democratic President “over the last 40 years” (from today’s speech) other than Bill or Hillary. That’s THEIR PLAN. Did you notice she didn’t mention John McCain in that VERY LONG speech — today??? After validating him constantly since February 2008? Interesting.

Be nice if these HRC “supporters” translated their support in cold, hard CASH and paid her bills. I read yesterday Howard Wolfson’s firm charged 22 times what Mr. Gibbs (Obama Campaign Communications strategiest) did — and we won. In the past my posts have encouraged HRC supporters to pay up. Donna - I am not a supporter of HRC, however I believe she was ill served by Bill Clinton, whose current life/lifestyle and income potential would not be served by HRC either becoming President, VP or ascending to a seat on The Court. Bill will NEVER submit himself to the scrutiny required for HRC to move beyond a very precarious Senate seat in NY. He LIKES New York City…because we traditionally welcome anyone who likes us. However, it’s a different place when we DON’T like someone. We like savvy stars, even if it’s the “Naked Cowboy” in Times Square w/no money. You can’t BUY love in NYC — as Bill is about to find out. The tabloids are gearing up as we speak. The kids think he is a joke, now. What constitutes INFLUENTIALS is also about to change in NYC. The centrifugal force of star power/status is about to SHIFT big time! We have a new Govenor because of the hubris and ridiculous of another aging male pol! We haven’t even looked back. The other day someone asked me who Eliot Spitzer was! Ha! Unfortunately, he will be commuting from much further away to get here if he deigns to come — in 2012, when HRC has to run for the Senate from her latest “home” State. Appalachia?

Kitty - I think Senator Obama’s supporters and the man himself will accept Republicans, Independents and ANYONE who shares his desire to CHANGE the Government fundamentally — and respects ALL Americans. We do not, however, accept the “hard working…very hard working, white Americans” narrative or standard for association. That is our perrogative.

Bella - HRC has to come back to NY and answer some questions. NYC/NY is NOT like the rest of America. We are as unique as Appalachia or the West is, in their way. The platform under her Senate seat is very soft right now. We did NOT know her and we don’t like being fooled or embarassed. Her effectiveness in the Senate has eroded. The Clintons have no long tails because they don’t take into consideration fellow pols who have to compromise themselves to support them. The Democratic NY delegation was in BIG TROUBLE last week. HRC is fine…but for somewhere else. That will pose a problem for her future aspirations to the Presidency. VP is a dead issue due to last Tuesday. Count on it. There were no crowds in NEW YORK CITY last Tuesday, excepting college kids at Baruch College for pizza — in a gym w/no cell phone, TV or Internet access REAL WORLD environment. All of New York is most assuredly NOT in the HRC bunker or bunker-mentality. We know sniper fire when we see it. We are NOT confused. I agree w/your comments re Dr. Klein — from a sociologist perspective. I participate in this site/Community for the same reasons.
