These posts by “welen anne” are tacky and beneath wowowow. What is the best way to report them and/or otherwise cause them to go away? I feel like my favorite web site has been taken hostage by a hideous alien invader. Surely there are others who agree with me! Thoughts?

Would someone please delete the tacky posts from this person who calls him/herself “welen anne” above? These comments and others like it are all over wowowow. It is so disheartening to be reading an intelligent conversation and then stumble upon a post like this, which is clearly spam. Is there a better way than this to report and hopefully block/delete posts like this? I would appreciate hearing from someone, if so.

There is surely a way to block this user, and others like him/her. I think the wowOwow community would respond favorably to a button to “report” tacky and inappropriate messages like this. I feel like a one woman vigilante, when all I really want to do is read the wowOwow content. Are there others who agree with me?

I wish they hadn’t done it. While I appreciate satire and free speech as much as the next person, I unfortunately know a lot of people who will see the illustration and think, “Aha! Just what I thought those Obamas were up to!” I actually had a conversation with someone who told me Obama was a Muslim. (What I wanted to say was, “So what if he is?”) What I did say was, “No, actually, he is a Christian.” And the person replied - seriously - “Well, he’s a Muslim to me.” People need to remember that these people vote, too, no matter how ignorant they are.

Duchess, could you please block this guy “jim james” (although I don’t think he is a guy) with this constant hawking of his tacky web site in comments all over wowowow?

The Presiding Bishop of the U.S. Episcopal Church is a woman. The Episcopal priests I know, both male and female, do not subscribe to the “I’m okay, you’re not okay” point of view held not only by the Roman Catholics but also by the fundamentalist Christian denominations.
