Cindy McCain's Press Secretary Says: 'I've Never Seen Someone So Maligned'

this is just plain ignorant —- SPIN this … and stop abusing the flag by using it to adorn your nasty postings …

Happy Halloween! Will you dress in costume today?

Yes! “Miss Mary the Story Lady” and read to the children at a benefit for women in need. LOVE this day. Love this opportunity to give-away.

Rachel Rules: How New MSNBC Host Has Taken TV By Storm

If you flipped the channel, how do you know what she did or did not cover? To call Rachel a “hater” is further proof of the fact that you have not watched her show … Stick to FOX or base your opinion on a fair viewing …

Monica Crowley: There's a Fine Line Between 'Maverick' and 'Ass'

Just what we need, another angry Republican. Sorry you’re so scared, but that’s what comes of supporting the party that operates on fear. Relax and open to the possibility that McCain may be right about this one thing, it IS okay to vote for that other guy.

Joan Ganz Cooney: The Choice of Palin Is Simply Irresponsible <b>Updated 8/30, 2:06 PM</b>

Marjorie, it’s okay to simply say you aren’t voting for Obama. that’s your right. but this refusal on your part to acknowledge the man’s obvious accomplishments and experience suggests that you are either trying to justify your Republicanism (which you don’t have to do) or cover up the fact that you’re bothered by his blackness. there is much being written these days about the “code language” being used by voters to cover up their discomfort with his race … one such code is to take the Republican line “he has no experience” Is it time for some serious self-reflection, perhaps?

The wOw Cartoon of the Week: Spelling Lesson

Must everything come back to Hillary … ?! LET IT GO already …

these insider New York men who are really not very interesting” — did you ever watch Charlie Rose? Your statement speaks volumes about you …

Message to All Whining Female Democrats: Hillary's Out. Get Over It, by Barbara Goldsmith

Why do you continually refer to Obama as BHO? Surely, you are not trying to make the most out of his middle initial? surely, you aren’t trying to slyly insert that old issue? and, why are you so defensive about the age issue? Computer illiteracy is a choice, not an age issue these days.

Mad Dash for Michelle Obama’s Dress

I see you’re still holding on to your angst. too bad. there’s so much reason for hope this season …

Mary Wells: Mrs. McCain Is Pretty but Michelle Obama Is Glorious

Well said! I love the phrase “happy heat” … is this refreshing and energizing or what?! Michelle is a beautiful and gracious bright light on the American scene. … As to Mrs. McCain, since you brought it up, someone should tell her that bleach blonde is harsh on women of a certain age (I am one, so I can say that). In her case, it adds to that “ice queen aura” and that suggests anyting but happy heat. I say this not in nastiness but in sincere wishfulness that she try softening her sharp edges. She can always go back to blonde if I’m wrong …

wowOwow Salutes Our Friend, Tim Russert

We are so saddened by the loss of this authentic and honorable and funny and loving man. I hope his passing and the outpouring gives every journalist pause to reflect on the kind of legacy they wish to leave … Here was a man who served a higher purpose in this world … well, done, Tim

Lesley Stahl: Obama Needs a Big, Sexy Relaunch

SO, looks like you are a McCain woman … have you taken a good look at what he doesn’t offer women? You could not possibly have been a Hillary woman if you’ll go down this path … So I must conclude you were a Republican all along, so your decision not to vote for Obama is not really a decision, now is it?

Lesley Stahl: Obama Needs a Big, Sexy Relaunch

I really don’t think he has to be all that calculated about it … he is a natural inspiration to those who have their ears and hearts open … he is authentic, self-reflective, and has demonstrated an amazing learning curve! I trust he’ll do just fine by just being himself … Women still caught up in the angst of Hillary’s departure will have to grieve in their own way and open to new possibilities or be left behind as the country moves closer to all that we can be …

Percentage of Voters Say They Would Never Vote for a Woman, Regardless of Qualifications

The founding fathers did not include women or blacks when they said, “All men are created equal.” That black men got the vote before us is unfortunate, as it would have been ideal if we’d all been included at the same time and as a feminist whose mother was born before women had the vote, it angers me that women were last and had to fight harder. THAT SAID, can we really complain that those who had been ENSLAVED were first in line (even though they were the males of the enslaved race)? I willingly stand behind someone who has had to live as a slave anyday.

Percentage of Voters Say They Would Never Vote for a Woman, Regardless of Qualifications

Patronizingly????!!!” Why is this statement characterized thus? Because it came from him? What, exactly do Hillary’s supporters want? Do you even know? I am a 60 year old white woman who has been a feminist since it all began and I am an Obama supporter. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO with sexism that many of us see that he is the person who resonates most with this moment in history (or even “herstory”). No matter what he says, he can’t win. He’s accused of dismissing her or patronizing when he acknowledges her. What Hillary failed to do in this campaign after years of left-brained planning and strategizing about becoming President, was to see that there is always a person who meets and matches the moment. He is that person. It’s sad that so many women want her to be President ONLY because she is a woman without realizing that she doesn’t seem to embody the Feminine Principle — that the Feminine Principle isn’t about having to be female!
