Thanks for the update Lily, although I was really hoping for better news for Jenny. Billy seems to stand a chance if the city council agrees to send Billy to PAWS. I have sent emails to the mayor and city council members of Dallas on Jenny’s behalf. I also emailed the Dallas Zoo and got a ridiculous reply. It’s a shame that the zoo industry or lobby are not as proactive as they could be. It would really be better for them in the long run to show they care about animals rather than the $$$. Jenny is suffering. There is no way getting around that.

Lee Hamilton was on Charlie Rose last night. He gave a dire explanatory of the region and the future of the region, but said diplomacy has to come first. Pakistan is in such disarray, that we will probably have to step in. Terrorists have taken over parts of the country. They are now burning down schools, killing policeman, and torturing citizens who don’t follow their new rules. Obama is doing the right thing.

Knowing that you are a hack for either Bloomberg or Klein, and I understand Caroline’s BFF is Mrs. Joel Klein (the wife of the worst schools chancellor on the face of the planet) I really hope the mayor and Klein put their money where their mouth is and get Paterson out. But, not Rudy in. btw, David Letterman “went off” on Paterson last night.

Give me a break!! Why does a letter have to go out and this made public? Of course she will wear different designers. But most of all, she will wear what she wants.

I had to take exception with Maureen Dowd’s column on Sunday. For some reason she has negative feelings about “ambitious” women and again took a swipe against Hillary. She quoted many in the NY Congressional delegation as saying it was not Gillibrand’s time. Well, they said the same thing to Obama when Hillary was running. Chuck Schumer who had a lot to do with the Gillibrand selection wanted someone who would no longer upstage him. Well, given Gillibrand’s reputation, and the fact that he has no charisma, he will be easily upstaged. She is the new girl, the one we all have questions about. Is she a Dem or not? She has voted over 90% with the Dems, but it’s that 10% that have people worried. There is nothing wrong with ambition if you are smart and qualified, and Gillibrand seems to have both qualities. She will be a savvy pol too because now she represents the whole state and not one particular district and has to evolve in her ideas about guns and how it effects us Downstaters. She does not go around field dressing subway rats, but has been involved in both national and international issues during her tenure as a member of Congress. (Armed Services/Terrorism). I have to hope she will do well by New York because she is my senator now. In the meantime, I will support any Dem interested in taking Paterson’s place.

Caroline has to bear responsibility for the way she campaigned during this process, but in the end, Paterson should come out the loser. First he gave a State of the State address that was over an hour but had said nothing of substance. Then his selection process became a circus, and he used Caroline to keep the story alive so he wouldn’t (as he joked to reporters) have to answer questions about the economy. But the worst thing he did was allow the disparaging leaks and untruths about Caroline. When a Cuomo aid was asked if Cuomo will be attending the Gillibrand announcement, he replied that the AG will be busy reorganizing his sock drawer. (NY Magazine)

What a pleasure to know that their is a woman out there who can say “this is my ideology, but that doesn’t mean I have to be crass”. I may not agree with her on all the issues, but I can certainly respect her as a person. It would be nice if Wow could let her also do I feature the way it did…well, you know who?

Sandbee, Your comments are always the best. Short and to the point. Of course many in the MSM are reporting on their knees when it comes to Obama. But, a Fox reporter writing a book on media bias? They should know, they wrote the book. Fox ran a negative documentary on Obama based on unknown and unsubstantiated sources. Outlets like National Review write all their stories with a sense of outrage and total sarcasm. The American people made their choice, but it would be nice to see all reporters doing their job on their feet instead of their knees and leave their political ideology at home.

I hope so. And I hope it gets resolved quickly. At least the voters made a choice.
