The milkman cometh back! Do you remember a time when he delivered your milk?

There were milkmen in Anaheim when I was young, but my dad was a Marine so we got our dairy at the commissary (mostly concentrated milk in wax cartons that mom diluted 4-to-1 with tap water). We don’t drink milk now, but we do use cream in our coffee every morning which I get at the local New Leaf Market in pint returnable bottles… butter fat separated and all. Really good stuff!

Reports of suicide bombings are now so frequent that we can hardly process them. Have we become immune to these horrors?

I don’t see any qualification in my statement… why assume I was singling out a specific fanatical group/individual? Particularly in the context of this thread… the b@stards McVeigh & Nichols that blew up those kids in Oklahoma weren’t affiliated with the followers of Mohammad, AFAIK. I would have shot them cold had I the chance… just like the pro-lifer that killed the Dr. Tiller in Kansas. You know what locking up terrorists gets you? A whole bunch of do-gooders whining about how bad a person YOU are for locking up murdering SOBs. And if you happen to be running a jail in a European country that has terrorists locked up, you’re running a very high risk of becoming the favorite target of fanatical terrorists from all belief systems… so no, I’m not singling out Moslem fanatics.

Immune? No. Saturated? Yes.

I’ve said it before (etc.): Talking with fanatics get’s you killed. Kill them first…

I think CBS’ reaction is the most telling thing about this non-issue: CBS is concerned for their reputation/sales. It’s human sexual interactions… no biggie… happens all the time (OMG! You mean people are doing it right now? Auggh!). This country is so prudish it’s almost sucked in on itself… forgetaboutit.

His treatment of his wife/partner, however, is completely wrong. I will never understand how a person can be so cruel to someone they supposedly care about - but I guess that’s human too.

I was 9 or 10, we were living in Anaheim, CA. My best friend’s parents had an in-ground pool installed. We could never have done that. The good news was that I was asked over all the time to swim in the pool (though my friend’s father was careful to always warn us that he had a chemical in the pool that would turn purple if we urinated ☺). The bad news (for a 10-year old) was that I was never invited again after my parents supported the first black family trying to move into our neighborhood… a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
