It’s the complexity of any response with which we need to concern ourselves. Over reaction begets over reaction…
I am an "Off with their heads!" kind of guy, though, so I advocate reasonable monetary policy updating (unreasonable would be to keep interest rates at 0% or to up taxes so far that people with money figure out how to keep it) and severely punishing those found guilty of illegal practice.
Have you ever had a great injustice done to you, and have you forgiven it?

Today is NPR's 39th anniversary. What do you like most about it? Is there a favorite program?
My favorite show, in fact the only one I listen to, is THE THISTLE AND SHAMROCK with Fiona Ritchie. Fantastic Celtic and Celtic-influenced music! We get it Saturdays at 2P.M. on KALW FM.

Actually, Elaine, it’s exactly the kind of thing that should be happening in colleges and universities all over the world… work hard on studies, really relax on free time.
Also, it cuts down close-mindedness: first comedy, then frequency, finally acceptance.

Where is the best public bathroom you know? What makes it so?
Not many men responding to this question, so I’ll do my best:
I have certainly used extravagant bathrooms including some of the ones listed here, but I find that extravagance is not the important thing for me when evaluating bathroom quality. Timing is the bottom line…
I have used bathrooms that are nothing but holes in the Philippines and in France (don’t get me started on the public "restrooms" along the French highways!!!!! EYUUUUUCK!). I’ve used bathrooms in McDonalds (almost always clean, BTW), various and sundry gas stations (cleanliness usually, but not always, varies directly with the condition of the gas station), the sink at a Who concert at Oakland Coliseum (the men were using the sinks to free up the stalls so the women could use them… it was crowded and the women’s rooms lines were R-E-A-L-L-Y L-O-N-G! ☹), outhouses in various parks throughout the world (always best to ignore your instincts when in outhouses!) (the best-kept ones are in Yukon Territory, Canada and the Swiss Alps, BTW), on boats and ships (NEVER USE THE HEAD IN THE BOW OF A SMALL VESSEL UNLESS THE VESSEL IS UNDER WAY!!!), and Nevada casinos (almost always clean and ready for use), and countless others.
When all is said and done ☺, in my humble opinion, the best bathroom I’ve ever used was the one available when I had to use one… anywhere in the world! Cleanliness is always appreciated (and yes, I wash my hands - before and after - and never, ever urinate or defecate outside of the bowl, hole, whatever), but one must adapt to one’s environment.
