Hi Deber. Thanks for your comments! And yes. I do recognize that it is a fictional piece that I wrote, except for the piece about Republicans being more fearful. That is scientific, not name-calling! I hope you are right about the theories about which you write, and that it happens sooner than later, because the outcome could be diabolical! Now that you bring it up I do remember Bush standing at the podium saying that everyone should have an opportunity to own homes (or something like that). I still think someone high in the world of wealth and power is responsible for starting that upward climb of interest rate resets that brought the whole thing down like a deck of unstable cards though. We are far from perfect but we do pretty fine up here other than our dependence on the US as our logical major trade partner in times like this when we suffer along side our US brothers and sisters. IMHO, the word socialism is a ridiculous neo-con fear-mongering term that has little relevance up here. We have socialistic parties. But they will never take a stronghold in our federal parliament. But what they do is keep a balance with an equal and opposite opinion in our politics.

Abandoned banks everywhere because they are empty. Gated communities picking off (rifles) the poor starving who are trying to break in to secured gardens to eat. Half dismantled Ford / GM cars and trucks rusting all over the pockmarked highways because those companies that fix them are gone. No parts. People paying big money for boat rides to work (the few who still work) across rivers because the bridges are unsafe. Long line ups at farmer’s markets where people get their food now. No new appliances available when yours break because manufacturing has stopped and there are no parts. No one can afford the new high prices/ bad selection. People start sewing again and mending old clothes. Walmart becomes a swap market in every town. People trade skills for each other to thrive. White color jobs are gone. Skilled labour becomes king. Many ghost towns are taken over by community squatters who leave the cities in droves so they can find land to grow food on. No one cares. Dissenters/mortgage defaulters are caught and sent to the prison camps they have built in the past years all over America. Are you getting the picture? Stop with all the BS and let the man have a chance to try to fix things. It is going to get a lot worse before it can be fixed. Go look at the IMF resets (google it) yet to come and imagine another wave coming. America is dragging the rest of the world down with it. In Canada we had TWICE as many layoffs per capita as the US did last month as a result of American Corporate GREED. DOUBLE. Stop your moaning and pull yourselves together as a nation and start helping each other find kinder ways of dealing with the humanity at risk. This is going to become the biggest human crisis in the history of man if you don’t get your sh-t together. Pay attention. Bailing out banks and car companies riddled with corporate versus unionized greed is ridiculous. Bush and Cheney should be in jail for squandering the first TARP money without oversight. JAIL. You need to bail out the little guys. Trickle-up theory. NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF SOME POWER TRIPPING DICK BRAIN AT THE TOP DIDN’T UP THE INTEREST RATES THAT STARTED THE DOMINO EFFECT IN THE FIRST PLACE ON THE SUB PRIME LEVEL. This is pure manipulation of the world economy by the very few elite. Its a game about power and control. Do ever hear WHY they reset and upped the interest rates in the first place? Do YOU? Think about what is going on and then do something about it.

My sister tried to do that. We moved to another city when she was about 15. She was in the beginning of a relationship with a man she is sure she would have married. He became a doctor in the USA. Recently she hunted him down even knowing he was married and they were emailling back and forth. He said he still has a lamp she gave him when she moved. It was all very cute until his wife discovered the emails. He politely emailed her back and said his wife thought it was inappropriate no matter how innocent it seemed to them and that he would not be emailing her again. I thought it was insane that she was emailing him more than once, once she knew he was still married. Just plain wrong in my books.

Wow Maizie! That is a great site! I will pass it on to all my friends, particularly those with children. Thank you for your comments. And I agree. I say a lot less on these threads lately because I feel they are really baiting the Right/left divisiveness to get their “numbers” up. There is no way I can believe that there can be still so many knuckleheads in America. I think there are about 10 posters who are just playing a media role to stir up the ladies! So I try to avoid those particular threads where I see high numbers because I know there is a fight going on. :) Peace to you!
