The death penalty takes a life, exactly what this person did and she is in jail, being punished for her actions. The life in prison sentence means the remainder of a person’s entire life is spent in prison. Temper justice with mercy, and let this woman life the rest of her life in prison, under a doctor’s care, with visits permitted by members of her immediate family. I would hope the prison would allow her mother (if she is still living) to be with her at the end of her life.

Why would a woman remain with a man, knowing that he has betrayed her, as well as put her life in danger? Why do women think that abuse from men is to be overlooked? GET THE H OUT NOW is my advice.

The 1943 article is old news, but the attitude expressed is contemporary. Polls reported upon in the news media indicate that Hillary Rodham Clinton has encountered opposition to her candidacy not in the male population, as might be thought, but with white, middle-aged, well-educated women. Her contemporaries! Why this attitude from women? Ignorance is still fostered in the home, in the schools, and in the places of worship in the United States. We have a lot to learn, do you agree?
