Frannie, I gave up whistling just because of those mouth wrinkles. I used to whistle all the time, but now I just hummmmmmmmm.

Yes, Lily, spots are what make me feel old. Well, I am, but I don’t want to feel it. Especially on my hands. That’s how you can tell a person’s age, by the hands. God, my hands look ancient! I’ve tried some products on the spots, but it doesn’t work. Hate those spots.

Carmel - I wish I could go back to the fake nails and the pedicure routine. I loved my nails and it made my hands look good. But when finances took a distinct downturn, that was what went down the drain first. It actually took about 4 months to get my nails to look anywhere near decent. The fake nails thin down the nails so much that they’re still breaking off at the tips. I wonder if Medicare will pay for nails if it’s a ….well, health hazard? I’m always catching them on things. Maybe not.

Oh, Laurie, I wish I could do that too, but, as an ex-Catholic I still have bits and pieces of guilt hopping around in my mind sticking to every little thing it can find. But even my first resolution has already been broken as I look up at the clock. I didn’t go to the gym today; it’s too late. *rats*

I’m trying a new attitude for 2009. On TV I saw a program about the brain and how it works. Seems one can concentrate on something and ‘tell’ the brain to remember it. Done over and over, the brain takes notice and reminds the person! So, I’m concentrating on good health, happy attitude and more work to satisfy my soul. If it works, I’ll be bouncing all over the place!

After reading all your comments on this subject, I now remember how much time I spend on my computer that isn’t work (part of publishing is on the computer). Then the trip to the gym 3x a week gets used up by something else or just, “Oh, I don’t want to today.” Actually, since I work at home at my own business, it’s work that get shoved aside if I want to do something else. I guess that’s a blessing.

Sam, I’d never let anyone touch my hair with scissors or razor in hand under $85. And I’ve never had a bad cut because of that. The rest I do myself, wash, color, set, style, comb and brush.

Gee, I just cut my long hair a few weeks ago. Also, I’ve gone white… after I saw the pictures of women who looked so good in their white styles, especially Meryl Streep. Well, I’m not comparing myself to Meryl Streep.. just the color, or lack of it.

After my terse evaluation of 2008, I read all the remarks from the beginning. Now I see I’m not the only one who has had some bad stuff this year. How enlightening!
