no, marjorie, it was not clinton who righted the boat, it was maggie williams who was brought in at the insistence of others. i disagree that she was ‘better’ than her campaign; in my world view she ‘is’ her campaign. she makes or approves of all decisions and strategies. as truman said, ‘the buck stops here.”

the way that one runs a campaign is a micro of the way that one would run the country. now, think about it… hillary’s campaign was a logistical and fiscal nightmare… this is who you would choose to run our country and our military? she chose lackluster managers, strategists, tacticians… she lost the ground game because she had no plan b, c, or d, she frittered away her assets, she failed to ‘read’ the mood of the country and when determining her campaign’s ‘theme’ was terribly off mark. she could not control her staff and her staff was at odds with each other. she is not a leader by anyone’s definition, policy wonk yes, leader… no.

i believe, that by law, the candidate must pay the bill. however, the dnc can do fund raising for her. the hillary campaign has squandered their money away like ‘drunken sailors’ and i do not know if fund raising for her would do much to diminish her indebtedness.

renata… this is not an entirely christian concept, most religions/cultures have tales of the end times. but i agree with what you are saying… we are in deep doo doo. this election is huge in its importance. whether it is our country’s impact on the globe on which we live, or how we treat the least of those among us, our standing as a nation of the world and not against the world it all must change. that is why i am strongly for obama, have been since the beginning in springfield. these dumb down tactics of what color he is, what he said in kindergarten, what his pastor said, what he ate for breakfast is nuts. it is more than a distraction; it is dangerous. i think it is different this time tho, the people are more aware and because of the www news is disseminated instantly to all parts of the world. we have concerned citizens who post, connected bloggers who post, old footage[think bosnia] is immediately available to all in order to show the truth of the matter. it is a different world in which we live. we need different leadership, someone who wants to bring us together not drive us apart. a world where it does not matter what the color of your skin, where you go to church, and where you choose to live it does not matter. what does matter is wherewe go from here.
