How do you feel about Senator Clinton's win in Pennsylvania?

no, not sensible; uneducated, older white woman who buy into spin, do not research positions, nor follow the news, other than the sound bites. good ‘ole boys who used to work in factories, carry guns, drink beer and earn under 50,000 a year. the great unwashed, the teeming masses, the reasons the founding fathers created a republic and not a democracy. if this sounds elitest… so be it. this is the type of voter that got us george bush. this, in the main, is his fundamentalist base. god love them, but i don’t want them the majority vote when we pick a president. the world is much to complex, complicated, and dangerous.

Does a Little Obama 'Elitism' Go a Long Way in Politics?

anna, i feel that, if elected, he will be more forthcoming. there are just so many people he can afford to ‘piss off’ at one time, and the religious right isn’t one of them. … if you are wondering why i am replying to your post at 4:32 in the a.m., it is because i am so depressed about the state of affairs in regards to the ‘bloody’ pa election, i can’t sleep.

lynne… courage is not blustering, thumping one’s self on one’s chest and acting out. apes do that, i can’t remember the term for it. is bush ‘tough?’ oh, yeah… me start war. me war president. remember his comment to the terrorists… “BRING IT ON.” let me ask you this. if hillary is so ‘tough’ and obama is not… why is he still in the ring? why is he winning? why hasn’t she knocked him out? think about it… who is the tough one? a rookie going up against a ‘seasoned’ pro. if she can’t beat him with all of her dirty tricks how can she beat mccain? consider this. how do you fight a woman without looking like a thug? a woman who has played the gender card every time something did not go her way. do you remember the boys ‘piling up’ on her at the debate in nh? do you remember her ‘crying’ and ‘finding’ her voice. give me a break. his hands are tied by the rules of civilized society and civilized discourse… and she knows it. how the hell is any man, particularly a gentleman, supposed to go up against these histrionics and not look like a bully. she has hit him with everything that she’s got and… he’s still standing! so, again i ask. who is the ‘tough’ one? maybe what we need now is someone a ‘tad’ more civilized. someone willing to compromise and someone who will hear our voice—as well as being ‘tough.’

elizabeth… hillary was fired from the watergate commission, for lying, unethical behavior, conspiring to violate the constitution, and on and on and on. http://www.northstarwriters.com/dc163.htm why do you think the press and other politicos do NOT care for her? she has gone on to refine her prevarication, obfuscation, and triangulation skills since that time. do you think the bosnian fiasco was an anomaly ? far from it… her actions borders on the pathological. btw, she also failed the washington bar when she sat for it.

How do you feel about Senator Clinton's win in Pennsylvania?

i wonder how anyone can imagine that hillary clinton is going to win the national without the black vote. that would be 20% of the base. not to mention all of the young voters that obama has brought on board. oh, yes, less i forget, there are those independents that will go to mcain. read the editorial page of the nytimes… she is destroying the party. she is acting like the rovian republicans… remember them? they are the one’s with the sleazy, dishonest, slash and burn tactics. the decent republicans are repulsed by them. they plan to help hillary win north carolina by coming out with attack ads on obama in north carolina. now don’t you think that a ‘bit’ strange? they are jumping in just when hillary needs something to knock obama out of the water. i am very depressed by the whole affair. this has gone on way too long and it is hurting the democrats chances of winning in the general. we MUST take our country back. the republicans are disenchanted, they are not donating money, they feel they are going to lose… they do NOT want to go up against obama. if clinton is the democratic nominee it will energize them like nothing else can.

What do men not know about women?

mk, just wondering. are any of your adoring grandchildren… female?

What do men not know about women?

did it ever occur to you that you are listening to ‘troubled’ women and not the rest of us? your sampling of the female population is skewed. therefore… your conclusions/deductions about women is hopelessly, and i emphasize, “hopelessly” skewed.

meant reversal of the glass-stegall act. i’ve been posting about this for awhile on the political sites and do not understand why most, either do not get it, or just aren’t that interested. it was HUGE and, you are right… directly resposible for the home mortgage crisis and the financial mess we find ourselves in. all we need is one more little crisis in the financial market and have the people start pulling their money out of the banks… then strap in.

What do men not know about women?

btw, wasn’t the glass-stegall act pushed through under clinton? bill, that is.

to get a little ‘perspective’ and realize how we are buying into the latest media ‘red herring’… check out john stewarts take on the elitism. http://blog.indecision2008.com/2008/04/15/jon-stewart-barack-obama-makes…

renata , that was an interesting post but it would be much easier to read if you would break it out into paragraphs.

Should Pope Benedict XVI's first papal visit to the United States have included more cities?

it’s not like he is running for office. the man is 81 years of age. you would have him running around the country confusing the sunni’s with the shia?

Today is Earth Day! What's the most wasteful thing that you do?

food, i am embarrassed to say. we have a business and our hours are at most times erratic. we end up grabbing something ‘quick’ to make/eat and the salad never gets made and out go the ingredients. i really must be more responsible.
