I agree with you RJB………..

I think both should be legalized………taxed and controlled.

Adult Women are capable of making their own decisions.

I don’t drink alcohol…….I don’t take drugs………Non the less I think Adults should be able to decide what to ingest as long as they don’t cause harm.  Absolutely legalize marijuana.  We can use the Taxes to do wonderful things for our Citizens. 

Less Children and young adults would be in Prisons and jails.

As to Prostitution .

I’ve always heard that PROSTITUTION is the OLDEST KNOWN PROFESSION in the World.

To rise up in indignation about a moral issue that has been going on as long as there have been humans on this planet in my opinion is just plain stupid.

I doesn’t matter what Society does (and It’s tried innumerable ways) we can not control other peoples desires.

Prostitution will always be a part of human existence………

As will drugs.

We can’t change peoples impulses but we can control the situation by

TAXING and REGULATING.

Less people in Prisons………money saved right there. (Up to $40,000 a year for each inmate) Plus the fact that most young people who are arrested for marijuana are not really criminals.

Less drug related street crimes.  We’ve been trying unsuccessfully to wage a Drug War for years. Legalizing marijuana and Taxing it would be the best solution in this War.

Free up our Law enforcement agents to deal with actual criminal behaviour.

Less poor women being abused as Street Whores………

Both Vices can be taxed which would benefit all citizens.

Both could be better controlled……..creating a safer and healthier environment for all concerned.

Most Young people start with marijuana because it is illegal……The Forbidden is always an attraction.  

After all I’ve said I will just add another vote for:

Legalize and Tax both vices.

 

Anything with Whoopie is always a delight.

Her ability with People is amazing.  I love her humorous control when she’s a little put off…………

The way she turns and sits back with the little smirk on her face….. I love it.  My disability keeps me home a lot lately, it’s so nice to have Whoopie come into my home via The View everyday. I love her humor, but I think what I like the most about Whoopie is her intelligence.

I’m looking forward to this new show.  I hope a day doesn’t go by that I don’t have the opportunity to learn something….

I was just thinking the same thing………….tape the conversations.  At least if it ever came to a head she would have proof of his bad behaviour…I would think Sexual mis-conduct would apply  to any kind of employment.

Perhaps she could get advice from a short visit to an attorney. Use the internet to find a blog where legal advice is offered for free.  I just know if I were in this position I would first tape (I would tape several occurrences of his calls)and then figure out a clever way to use the information without endangering myself.

I do think there are some men who look absolutely fabulous bald………If they have a good shaped head it doesn’t matter if there’s hair or not.

If they just have little bits here and there that’s not very attractive.

Of course in men as in women there is nothing to compare with a wonderful head of healthy hair.

I think the main thing is for the man to feel good about how he wears his hair…………Mainly keep it CLEAN.

Wigs are hot and uncomfortable.

My husband was a Tennis player and swimmer.  After he retired he started giving himself a buzz cut………He loved it.  As they say, Wash and wear.  So easy when you are doing sports a lot.

I like the way he looked with or without hair……….I just loved him.

Celebrities on a whole are treated entirely different in our Society. No matter the nature of their Celebrity……….Political……..Arts……….Movies ……….or Sports people. They all get Over paid for the amount of work involved for their efforts. They are loved, admired and have great privileges that most people never have. If anything this should require a little better behaviour on their part. They get away with things that average people would never be able to avoid the consequences. I must add NOT all celebrities…….. There are wonderful, caring and giving people in the Celebrity status who live good productive lives. Then there are those who live their lives as though they can do and get away with almost anything they choose. Raping a thirteen year old child is deplorable…….It’s also against the law. This law was broken……..admitted to and should be punished. I don’t care how old a man is, he should be brought to Justice. I don’t know what that Justice is, It’s not my place to make that decision………That should be up to the Courts. I have No sympathy for Polanski.  I don’t care if he’s 30 or 75 or older. He’s lived a cruel illegal life. My main concern in this whole affair is what it’s doing to his victim.  I’m sure it’s caused her a lot of pain and grief over the years.  I just wish that whatever happens to him she is able to be kept out of the Lime Light. I’m sure the dredging up of all the old memories have to be very painful for her.  My heart goes out to this woman who as a child was so abused and used by such a vicious man. I hope he’s brought back and given the full amount of punishment the Law allows. I’ve read that men in jail are not terribly fond of child molesters…………I’m sure that could be a very good punishment for him. ( what ever they decide to do to him)  Maybe a little of his own medicine. To those who want to imply that the girl was also responsible for her fate. I say, give me a break.  No matter what that child did or how she behaved she was a CHILD not a woman.  Children of that age do not yet have brain development to make proper decisions. Don’t ever blame a child when a Pedophile is turned lose in their area. A Pedophile is an evil vicious human being and to even slightly imply that a child of any age is responsible for the actions done to them is STUPIDITY in it’s greatest form.

Reading this kind of thread is one of those that make me want to vomit.

Stupidity is just stupidity….doesn’t seem to be anything (particularly truth) that can change that kind of thinking.

 

The View happens to be one of the most popular shows in daytime.

It covers a constant changing World……..

They have serious discussions……….

They have comedy………and who doesn’t need to laugh and smile more.

They have very interesting guests……..some serious, some just celebrities.

As the old saying goes………..If you don’t like it………..remember the TV comes with a channel changer or an OFF button.

Personally I find it light hearted and a fun way to wile away 48 minutes…..I TEVO, zap through the commercials.

I agree with you about spending time with ones children.

I get irritated when I hear people say……"Oh they’re just kids they’ll get over it"

If that’s true then we wouldn’t have so many screwed up adults in the World. It’s nice to have conversations with people who are interesting and without all the anger and meanness.

I’ve decided to have my own little Boycott……..I’m going to pass by the angry posters.  I used to enjoy Wowowow so much

when it left me with a feeling of enrichment and knowledge.  I’ve been foolish lately and allowed myself to be

drawn into these ugly conversations.  I think life is hard enough without deliberately allowing so much negative energy

into my daily living….

Anyone who wants to join me…….I welcome.  Maybe we could re-create the Old Wowowow when civility reigned.

I enjoy a good adversary when done with respect and civility.  I hope I never get too old to want to learn from others.

Just a thought……

If we as mothers would raise our little boys to express their feelings more, they might stay healthier.

I really get irritated when I hear a young mother tell her young son to stop crying……guit acting like a baby. Making them feel ashamed to act like a feeling human being. Men hold in too much stress………

I’m still here………haven’t been posting as much as I used to in the beginning of wowowow.

For one thing I got tired of the constant negative way of debating…….The Civility we used to have in the

beginning just flew out the Window.  I know a lot of the women who no longer post here, left for that reason.

My health has not been as good recently so I also don’t care to be involved in the vile wars……….

I will mention to some of the other ladies you asked about them.

I enjoyed Lesley’s article.  If one wants to make a balance sheet on the Kennedy’s I think over the years their

contributions to our Country out weigh the negative things that have happened.

I have a wonderful loyal family like the Kennedy’s and it’s wonderful to know you have someone

always there to cover your back.

We are Flawed but we still are the greatest Nation in the World as far as I’m concerned.  I know my forefathers fought in the Revolutionary War for our Freedom and the development of this Country.

So Baby Snooks if your looking for a Country to take back you need to go somewhere else………not here, not ever.
