Whoopi Goldberg Has Two Words for Those Looking to Give
Amy -
I wonder if you’re confusing this Comic Relief - http://www.comicrelief.com - based in the UK, with Whoopi’s Comic Relief which does work with groups in the US. The most recent link I can find is this one - http://www.comicrelief.org/
Mary Wells's Famous Window Treatments
Ah so its not just me. Some people when they move totally redecorate either to update the style of their home or to change colors. I’ve always loved green. The shades have changed a bit over the years, but I still find living with the color green to be warm and comforting. Now that I’m getting ready to move again and thought it might be time for a change, I still feel drawn to green albiet a cooler cleaner shade of green than I’ve been living with up until now.

Liz Smith's Most Popular Purchase
Having seen what my older sister went through with her roommates, I made sure never to have any. It meant living in Brooklyn initially, but eventually I made it to Manhatten. It was only a studio apt but it was all mine.

Chocolate Always on a White Blouse, by Sheila Nevins
Because I eat on the run (in my car) quite a bit I’ve gotten in the habit of carrying a Tide stick in my makeup case. While not usable on all fabrics, I mostly where cotton blouses. On these it is a wonder tool.
I also love the way stains blend in with denim. Spill coffee on a pari of jeans and you barely know its there once it dries.
Mother Nature, Is Organic Really Healthier?
Earlier this morning I was watching a food program and the hostess equated organic food with sustainability, and my immediate response was huh? Yes many/most small local farms are organic, but as this article points out you can buy "imported" organic goods - so much for sustainability.
For me organic is about pesticides and hormones. When I was peri-menapausal I bought organic milk. Now I feel less of a need for it, and besides its just gotten way to expensive. Organic also doesn’t always equate to quality. Where I live there is a Sunday farmers market just up the street. The few times I’ve been I’ve found the vegies to be past fresh and priced as though they were top quality. I’m all for supporting local growers organic or not, but like everyone else they have to give me a good product for the price.
Do you watch 'live' television anymore?

Liz Smith on Her Last Trip and Other Destinations
I was an art major in college and Greece and Italy have always been at the top of my list. I’ve been to Florence and Venice, pictures in books don’t do the cathedrals and other art work justice. Hopefully I’ll be equally delighted if I finally make it to Greece.
Here in the states I’d love to see the Grand Canyon and Yosemite.
