OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by Women on the Net, Inc, located at 132 West 31st Street, New York, NY 10001. Submissions received after the Contest Period will not be judged. Each day of the contest will produce one winner who will be announced at or around 3 pm each subsequent day of the contest until the day after the last date of the Contest. 


Contest Period: The Words Move Me Contest ("Contest") shall begin at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time ("EDT") on September 25, 2009 and shall end at 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 9, 2009 ("Contest Period").

Binding Agreement: In order to enter the Contest, you must agree to these Official Rules ("Rules"). Therefore, please read these Rules prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree. You agree that submission of an Entry in the Contest constitutes agreement to these Rules. These Rules form a binding legal agreement between you and Women on the Net, Inc. with respect to the Contest.

Eligibility: Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia age eighteen (18) or older at time of entry ("Entrants"). Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Sponsor’s employees, members of their immediate families, officers, directors, agents and affiliates are not eligible to participate in the Contest. All federal, state and local laws and regulations shall apply.

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES: In order to submit an Entry to the Contest, Entrants can visit the Main Contest Webpage at www.wowOwow.com/wordsmoveme or submit entries via post to Attn: Judges – Words Move Me Contest
132 West 31st Street, New York, NY 10001.

In order to submit an entry online, each Entrant must register or sign in to submit a literary moment that moves you. Each submission must be tagged with "WOW".

Submissions must comply with the following requirements:
You expressly acknowledge and agree that Sponsor shall own all content submitted. Your submission must not be subject to the rights of any third parties. The content of your submission may not be offensive or otherwise unsuitable for use, as determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. By participating in the Contest, you acknowledge and agree that Sponsor has an irrevocable right and license to publish, sub-license, use, edit, and display your submission, without further approval from you, without limitation, for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes.

Judging: All entries will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of personnel from the Sponsor who will review each day’s entries and select the literary moment they find most moving.

Prizes: A total of 14 Sony Reader Pocket EditionTM e-Readers (valued at $199 each) shall be awarded. One winner will be announced daily from September 26, 2009, through October 9, 2009. Entrants may submit as many Entries as they choose but each eligible Entrant is limited to one prize for the duration of the Contest. No prizes in excess of this limit will be awarded.

General Limitations for all prizes: No alternative prize, cash, or other substitution is permitted. Each winner will be notified by e-mail within five (5) days of the date they are chosen. Any potential winner who cannot be contacted by email within five (5) days of attempted first notification will forfeit his/her prize. Each potential winner will have five (5) days from acknowledged notification to accept the prize by e-mail or by U.S. mail to the address specified in the notification. Prizes will be delivered within approximately six (6) to eight (8) weeks of verification and confirmation of winners.

Requirements of Winner: Each Winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability and Publicity Release (“Affidavit/Release”) which must be signed, notarized and received by Sponsor within five (5) days of acknowledged notification. Failure to comply within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. By agreeing to become a winner and/or accepting and/or using a prize, winner agrees to the use of his or her name, likeness and submitted content, for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion by Sponsor without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. If you are chosen as a winner, you agree to submit your name and allow Sponsor to display it next to your submission. If a selected potential winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible (under these rules or due to a failure to comply with any of the other applicable policies, licenses, rules, and terms of service), or fails to timely return the completed and executed releases/agreements as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate potential winner may be selected.

General Conditions: Prizes are awarded without warranty of any kind from Sponsor, express or implied, without limitation, except where this would be contrary to federal, state, provincial, or local laws or regulations. All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant from the Contest who, in their sole discretion, Sponsor has determined to be in violation of any term contained in these Official Rules or the Terms of Use of the Site or that has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other Entrants, Sponsor, the Judges, or participating parties. Please allow six (6) weeks from the Contest closing date for winners to be selected and prizes to be awarded.

Any attempt by any individual, whether or not an Entrant, to deliberately damage, destroy, tamper or vandalize the Website or undermine the legitimate operations of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law and, if the individual is an Entrant, to disqualify such Entrant from the Contest.

Warranty and Indemnity: To the extent permitted by law, Entrant agrees to hold Women on the Net, Inc., its respective directors, officers, employees, licensees and assigns harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Contest and/or use or acceptance of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for problems uploading or downloading any Contest related information from the web site or for any other technical malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer hardware or software failures, phone line failure, failure of any electronic mail Entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or any other technical problems which may limit the Entrant’s ability to participate in this Contest. To the maximum extent permitted by law, each Entrant agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees, licensees and agents from and against any and all claims, actions, suits or proceedings, as well as any and all losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees) arising out of or accruing from (a) any material uploaded or otherwise provided by Entrant that infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, trade dress, patent or other intellectual property right of any person or defames any person or violates their rights of publicity or privacy, (b) any misrepresentation made by the Entrant in connection with the Contest; (c) any non-compliance by Entrant with these Official Rules; and (d) claims brought by persons or entities other than the parties to these Official Rules arising from or related to the Entrant’s involvement with the Contest.

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest if any problem corrupts the security or operation of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Disputes: Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant, including the Winners, and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of New York without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.

Winner List and Official Rules: A winner’s list will be posted on the web site at www.wowOwow.com/wordsmoveme, at the conclusion of the Contest.
